An apparatus for and a method of restoring a master boot record infected with a virus. The apparatus comprises a first storage unit storing a master boot record (MBR), and a virus check unit searching the storage position of the MBR within the first storage unit, to determine whether the MBR is infected with the virus and, if the MBR is infected, to restore the MBR.
Abstract:
A method of capturing data that are transferred in synchronization with a data strobe signal. The method includes sampling a data strobe signal at a clock frequency higher than a data rate to detect a transition point of the data strobe signal (e.g., by generating and comparing a plurality of sampled data strobe signals), and sampling data to generate sampled data, and selecting reliable data among the sampled data based upon the transition point. A data capture circuit that captures data transferred in synchronization with a data strobe signal, includes a data strobe signal sampling circuit, a data sampling circuit, and may further include a transition position-indicating signal (case) generator and a data selection circuit. Accordingly, the method and the data capture circuit may effectively capture the data transferred in synchronization with the data strobe signal without employing or including a DLL on the chip.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a filter for a plasma display panel having excellent re-workability, durability, and reliability and a plasma display panel including the same. The filter for a plasma display panel of this invention is characterized by including an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition layer having adhesion after the lapse of a predetermined time period that is at least 1.5 times as great as initial adhesion. Since the inventive filter for a plasma display panel has low initial adhesion, when a defect occurs in a process of attaching the filter for a plasma display panel to an upper glass plate of the panel, a separation process may be easily conducted, and also adhesion increases with the lapse of time, thus exhibiting good durability and reliability without air bubbling and peeling.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, including a) 100 parts by weight of an acrylic copolymer containing a hydroxy group without a carboxyl group; b) 0.01˜10 parts by weight of a cross-linkging agent; and c) 0.01˜5 parts by weight of a polyether modified polydimethylsiloxane copolymer having HLB of 4˜13 and having the structure of Formula 1, and to an adhesive sheet formed thereby. The adhesive composition and adhesive sheet according to this invention may exhibit excellent re-workability, durability, and reliability.
Abstract:
A battery pack having no need to fill a gap between a bare cell and a protective circuit module includes a safety vent adapted to properly function even after molding has been completed and a PTC thermistor having characteristics which do not degrade during manufacturing processes. A bare cell, which has a protective circuit module and a PTC thermistor mounted thereon, is enclosed by an integral case. An exposed area of the case is covered with a resin. A lead is positioned on a safety vent formed on the bare cell to prevent the safety vent from being fractured by a resin of a high temperature and pressure during a resin filling process. The resin does not reach the protective circuit module and the PTC thermistor so that its heat is not transmitted to them.

Provided are a method and an apparatus for rebooting a computer system taking both security and user convenience into account. The computer system includes an authentication mode information storage unit storing authentication mode information related to an authentication mode when booting the computer system, a first driver sensing rebooting of the computer system and setting an authentication mode of the authentication mode information, and a second driver, which reads the authentication mode information and if the authentication mode is a first mode, performs rebooting without user authentication and if the authentication mode is a second mode, performs rebooting after user authentication.
Abstract:
An EUV mask (10, 309) includes an opening (26) that helps to attenuate and phase shift extreme ultraviolet radiation using a subtractive rather than additive method. A first embedded layer (20) and a second embedded layer (21) may be provided between a lower multilayer reflective stack (14) and an upper multilayer reflective stack (22) to ensure an appropriate and accurate depth of the opening (26), while allowing for defect inspection of the EUV mask (10, 309) and optional defect repair. An optional ARC layer (400) may be deposited in region (28) to reduce the amount of reflection within dark region (28). Alternately, a single embedded layer of hafnium oxide, zirconium oxide, tantalum silicon oxide, tantalum oxide, or the like, may be used in place of embedded layers (20, 21). Optimal thicknesses and locations of the various layers are described.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determining stress levels of membrane masks that may be used in membrane-based lithographic techniques is presented. A piezoelectric plate (30) is used to induce vibrations into the membrane mask (35), where the frequency and amplitude of the vibrations induced in the membrane layer (50) are optically sensed. By comparing the stimulus applied to the piezoelectric plate (30) with the response sensed optically in a gain phase analyzer (80), a frequency graph (110) associated with the membrane layer (50) is constructed such that resonant frequencies are easily determined. These resonant frequencies can then be used to calculate the stress associated with the membrane layer (50).
