Abstract:
A recordable optical disc stores one or more video objects. A video stream, a first audio stream, and a second audio stream which is used for dubbing are multiplexed into each video object. Also, an optical disc recording apparatus generates the second audio stream by an audio stream generating device, and multiplexes the generated second audio stream into each video object together with the video object and the first audio stream by a multiplexor. The generated video objects are recorded onto the recordable optical disc by a recording device. The optical disc in which such video objects are stored facilitates dubbing.

Abstract:
A multimedia optical disk is provided. The multimedia optical disk includes a data area for storing objects which include moving picture data and at least one of audio data and sub-picture data. The multimedia optical disk also includes an index area for storing reproduction orders of the objects. Route information in the index area includes a sequence of addresses of objects whose alignment represents a reproduction order. Chain control information in the index area corresponds to the route information. The chain control information, being effective in reproducing objects specified by the alignment of the sequence of addresses (objects specified by the alignment of the sequence of addresses are called a chain), instructs the reproduction apparatus to have a navigation control of the chain. A piece of moving picture data having a certain time period is reproduced at the same timing as a piece of audio data and a piece of sub-picture data. A piece of sub-control information, being effective in reproducing moving picture data, sub-picture data, and audio data stored in a small unit instructs the reproduction apparatus to have a navigation control of the data stored in the same small unit.
Abstract:
A multimedia disc made up of a video data storage region and a management information storage region, the video data storage region storing a plurality of video data sequences, each video data sequence having a plurality of video segments of a reproduction period which are recorded in an interleaved manner with a plurality of audio samples, wherein a plurality of sub-pictures and a plurality of control procedures and one audio sample and one sub-picture are reproduced simultaneously with a video segment and wherein each control procedure indicates one video data sequence as a branch address which reflects an interactive operation of a reproduction device during reproduction of a current video data sequence, the management information storage region storing management information comprised of group information which shows which video data sequences have been grouped together to compose a group for which only one of the composing video data sequences is reproduced, a plurality of level identifiers, each of which is assigned exclusively to only one video data sequence in a same group and branch information which indicates, for an arbitrary video data sequence, a video data sequence to be reproduced after termination of reproduction of the arbitrary video data sequence.

Abstract:
A multimedia optical disc which includes a data region for storing a plurality of objects which include video data, audio data and sub-picture data, wherein the data region is composed of a plurality of small regions, wherein each object is stored in consecutive small regions and wherein each small region includes a first subregion for storing video data of a certain reproduction period, a plurality of second subregions which each store audio data, wherein audio data stored in different second subregions express different reproduction audio to each other and each set of audio data is data to be reproduced at a same time as the video data in a first subregion, a plurality of third subregions which each store sub-picture data, wherein sub-picture data stored in different third subregions express different images to each other and each set of sub-picture data is data to be reproduced at a same time as the video data in the first subregion and a fourth subregion for storing control information, wherein each set of control information is valid for a reproduction period of data in a same small region and wherein the control information includes an indication to a reproduction device for a combination of one set of audio data out of the second subregions and one set of sub-picture data out of the third subregions which are to be reproduced together with the video data in the first subregion.
