Enabling user interface display mode toggling includes presenting information in a first display region having predefined boundaries, the information being manipulatable via a user interface in the first display region; presenting, via a wearable extended reality appliance, a second display region beyond the predefined boundaries of the first display region; providing a control for altering a location of the user interface, wherein in a first mode, the user interface is presented in the first display region while the information is presented in the first display region and in a second mode, the user interface is presented in the second display region outside the predefined boundaries of the first display region while the information is presented in the first display region; and enabling toggling between the first mode and the second mode via the control.

Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer-readable media are provided for managing extended reality video conferences. In one implementation, the computer-readable medium may include instructions to cause a processor to: receive a request to initiate a video conference between a plurality of participants; receive image data captured by at least one image sensor associated with a wearable extended reality appliance, the image data reflecting a layout of a physical environment in which the wearable extended reality appliance is located; analyze the image data to identify at least one interference region in the physical environment; receive visual representations of the plurality of participants; and cause the wearable extended reality appliance to display the visual representations of the plurality of participants at multiple distinct locations other than in the at least one interference region.

Abstract: A system and method for generating videos of individuals interacting with virtual objects. A wearable extended reality appliance generates an extended reality environment including at least one virtual object. First image data reflects a first perspective of an individual wearing the wearable extended reality appliance, including physical hand movements interacting with the at least one virtual object from the first perspective. Second image data reflects a second perspective facing the individual, including second physical hand movements interacting with a virtual object from the second perspective. The first image data and the second image data are analyzed to determine an interaction with the virtual object. The rendered representation of the virtual object from the second perspective is melded with the second image data to generate a video of the individual interacting with the virtual object from the second perspective.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for virtually extending a physical keyboard are disclosed. In one implementation, a non-transitory computer readable medium contains instructions that cause a processor to: receive image data representing a keyboard placed on a surface from an image sensor associated with a wearable extended reality appliance; determine that the keyboard is paired with the wearable extended reality appliance; receive an input for causing a display of a virtual controller with the keyboard; display, via the wearable extended reality appliance, the virtual controller in a first location on the surface, with original spatial orientation relative to the keyboard; detect a movement of the keyboard to a different location on the surface; and in response to the detected movement, present the virtual controller in a second location on the surface, with a subsequent spatial orientation relative to the keyboard that corresponds to the original spatial orientation.

Instructions may include receiving an indication of an object; receiving from an image sensor an image of a hand of an individual holding a physical marking implement; detecting in the image a color associated with the marking implement; receiving from the image sensor image data indicative of movement of a tip of the marking implement and locations of the tip; determining from the image data when the locations of the tip correspond to locations on the object; and generating, in the detected color, virtual markings on the object at the corresponding locations.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media configured for enabling content sharing between users of wearable extended reality appliances are provided. In one implementation, the computer readable medium may be configured to contain instructions to cause at least one processor to establish a link between a first wearable extended reality appliance and a second wearable extended reality appliance. The first wearable extended reality appliance may display first virtual content. The second wearable extended reality appliance may obtain a command to display first virtual content via the second wearable extended reality appliance, and in response, this content may be transmitted and displayed via the second extended reality appliance. Additionally, the first wearable extended reality appliance may receive second virtual content from the second wearable extended reality appliance, and display said second virtual content via the first wearable extended reality appliance.
