    摘要: A shift-by-wire transmission system is provided. The system includes a gearbox that is configured and arranged to receive a rotational input and provide a select rotational output. The gearbox includes a plurality of gear assemblies that are operationally coupled together to provide the select rotational output from the rotational input. A shift assembly is operationally coupled to the plurality of gear assemblies of the gearbox to selectively change gearing of gearbox. An electric motor is operationally coupled to the shift assembly to activate the shift assembly to selectively change the gearing of the gearbox. A manual shift override is employed that is coupled between the shift assembly and the electric motor. The manual shift override is configured and arranged to manually disconnect the electric motor from the shift assembly and activate the shift assembly.

The transmission includes an input assembly that is coupled to receive input rotational motion and an output assembly that is rotationally coupled to a load. An input/output planetary ratio assembly sets an input to output speed ratio. The input/output planetary ratio assembly has a first stator and a second stator. An input speed feedback control assembly is operationally attached to the input assembly. The input speed feedback control assembly includes a spider that is coupled to one of the first stator and the second stator. A movable member is operationally engaged with the spider with at least one shift weight. The moveable member is further operationally coupled to the other of the first stator and second stator. Moreover a torque feedback control assembly applies an axial load force in response to a torque of a load to the input speed control assembly.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission includes an input assembly. The input assembly coupled to receive input rotational motion. An output assembly is used to provide a rotational output and is coupled to a load. Moreover, an input/output planetary ratio assembly sets an input to output speed ratio between the input assembly and the output assembly. An input speed feedback control assembly is used to provide an axial speed force in response to a rotation from the input assembly on a shift rod. A torque feedback control assembly is used to provide an axial load force on the shift rod in an opposite direction from the axial speed force in response to a torque of a load coupled to the output assembly. In addition, a shifting member is coupled to the shift rod. The shifting member controls the input/output planetary ratio assembly based on a position of the shift rod.

    摘要: A drive sheave assembly of a continuously variable transmission is provided. A fixed sheave of the assembly includes a central recess. A plurality of sheave ramps are located within the central recess. A one-way engagement collar is configured to rotate freely on an end portion of a sleeve when the sleeve rotates in a first direction and lock onto rotation of the sleeve when the sleeve rotates in a second direction. The one-way engagement collar further has a plurality of ramp pockets. A ramp member is received within each ramp pocket of the plurality of ramp pockets in the one-way engagement collar. Each ramp member is configured to engage an associated sheave ramp of the plurality of sheave ramps in the central recess of the fixed sheave and move the one-way engagement collar axially to engage a side of a belt when the sleeve rotates in the second direction.

    摘要: A CVT clutch is provided. A fixed sheave of the CVT clutch is statically mounted on an end of the post. A movable sheave assembly is dynamically mounted on the post. The movable sheave includes a recess cavity that is defined by a movable sheave housing. A spider is statically mounted on the post within the recess cavity of the movable sheave assembly. At least one interchangeable ramp is positioned within the recess cavity so that at least one space is provided between the at least one interchangeable ramp and a sheave face of the movable sheave housing. An engagement member is positioned to engage an associated interchangeable ramp and the spider. A main bias member is configured to assert a bias force on the spider and cover to position each engagement member at a select location on the associated interchangeable ramp when a countering force is not present.
