This invention intends to provide a vehicle-mounted driving recorder that can obtain necessary situation data only surely and accurately and that can contribute to effective use of a memory and to facilitation of an after-the-fact analysis of the situation data. The vehicle-mounted driving recorder comprises a situation data receiving section that receives situation data as being data indicating behavior, a surrounding situation and an operation situation of a vehicle and that temporarily stores the situation data in a temporary data storage section specified in a predetermined area of a memory, and a data administration section, in case that a plurality of contents indicated by the received situation data satisfy a previously specified given condition, that transfers a part or all of the situation data during a certain period before and after a time when the condition is satisfied from the temporary data storage section to the situation data storage section specified in a predetermined area of the memory.

A magnetic tape cartridge with an improved reel-rotation restraining mechanism is disclosed. The reel-rotation restraining mechanism has a reel locking member, which is movable toward and away from the reel, for restricting rotation thereof; an urging member for urging the reel locking member in a restraining direction; and an releasing member, which is rotatable integrally with the reel, for moving the reel locking member in an unlocking direction by moving according to a chucking operation of a rotation drive mechanism of a drive unit. The releasing member has three leg portions on the vertexes of a triangular plate portion insertable into through holes in the reel. The releasing member is sized so that with part of the releasing member inserted into a center opening of the reel, and two of the three leg portions positioned near the through holes, the remaining one leg portion can be dropped and inserted within the center opening.

To provide a switchable type servo writer capable of writing a servo signal on different kinds of magnetic tapes, to thereby achieve improvement in productivity and reduction of cost. In running servo writer 10, pluralities of head blocks 1 that contain a writing head corresponding to the different kinds of magnetic tapes MT are placed on turret 2, and change of the head blocks 1 is enabled by rotation of the turret 2.

An object of the present invention is to provide a commercially advantageous process for preparing a fluoro benzoic acid. The process according to the present invention comprises either alkylating a fluoro benzoic acid of the formula wherein R1 is halogen, or reducing a fluoro benzoic acid of the formula wherein R1 is as defined above and R2 is lower alkyl to thereby produce a fluoro benzoic acid represented by the formula wherein R1 and R2 are as defined above.

A seat belt device has a belt retractor mounted on a vehicular seat from. The belt retractor employs an ELR mechanism for locking a seat belt upon emergency condition. The seat belt device employs and electrically operable actuator in cooperation with the ELR mechanism. The actuator is operable in response to a switch which is turned ON by manual seat slide lock release operation. This allows seat position adjusting operation without causing locking of the seat belt.

Disclosed is an elastic absorbent which comprises a substantially homogeneous mixture of pulverized cellulose pulp and staple fibers of a split yarn obtained by splitting a tape-form oriented laminate comprising at least one layer of a synthetic resin having a high melting point and at least one layer of a synthetic resin having a low melting point, in which the layer of the synthetic resin having a low melting point is at least partially exposed to the surface. Another elastic absorbent comprises an intermediate layer of a powdery polymeric water-absorbing agent, which is interposed between upper and lower layers, each of the upper and lower layers comprising a substantially homogeneous mixture of pulverized cellulose pulp and staple fibers of the same split yarn as mentioned above. At the crossing points of the staple fibers, of the split yarn, the synthetic resin having a low melting point is at least partially fusion-bonded and the staple fibers of the split yarn are connected to one another in the state where the cellulose pulp is partially enclosed therein.

Biphenyl imidazoles and related compounds of Formula I, useful as antiviral agents, are provided herein. Pharmaceutical compositions containing a compound of Formula I, together with a second active agent, such as an NS3a protease inhibitor are provided herein. Methods for treating viral infections, including Hepatitis C infections, are included herein by providing a compound of Formula I together with an additional active agent. In certain embodiments the additional active agent is an NS3a protease inhibitor.

In certain embodiments disclosed herein M is a group —P-A-P— where A is Certain substituted aliphanes, cyclophanes, heteraphanes, heterophanes, hetero-heteraphanes and metallocenes disclosed herein are potent and/or selective inhibitors of viral replication, particularly Hepatitis C virus replication. Pharmaceutical compositions/ and combinations containing one or more substituted aliphanes, cyclophanes, heteraphanes, heterophanes, hetero-heteraphanes and metallocenes and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier are also provided by this disclosure. Methods for treating viral infections, including Hepatitis C viral infections are provided by the disclosure.
