摘要: A shaving unit for an electric shaver which comprises an outer cutter and an inner cutter associated to that outer cutter. The cutters are mounted so as to be movable relative to each other and adapted to be set in a relative motion by a drive mechanism. The inner cutter provides a plurality of cutting edges and abuts with its outer face on the inner face of the outer cutter. The outer cutter provides a plurality of teeth equipped with cutting edges. The outer cutter provides two comb elements which are disposed opposite one another and which extend according to the direction of the relative motion. The two comb elements are aligned with respect to one another such that the tips of the teeth of the first comb element are facing the tips of the teeth of the second comb element, the tips of the teeth spaced from one another.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling flow of a fluid includes a closure member, a biasing member applying a biasing force to the closure member, and a sealing member receiving the closure member. A dampener is operatively connected to the closure member and may resist a force applied to the closure member. A fluid seal may be formed when the biasing member presses the closure member against the sealing member. The apparatus may include a wellbore tubular in which the fluid conduit is formed and the closure member and sealing member may cooperate to control fluid flow along the fluid conduit. The apparatus may include an actuator configured to control the force applied to the closure member. The actuator may adjust the biasing force, and/or the dampening force. Also, a controller may control the actuator and may be responsive to a signal generated at a surface location, a signal generated at a downhole location, and/or a signal generated by a sensor.

摘要: The present invention provides an electromagnetic telemetry apparatus and methods that include an insulating connector that comprises an outer metallic female member that has an inner conical longitudinal surface. In one embodiment, a tubular metallic male member is disposed in the female member, thereby crating an axial conical gap between the male and female members. A conical metallic sleeve having dimensions that substantially correspond to the axial conical gap is disposed in the axial conical gap. The outer tubular surface of the male member is coated with an insulating material, such as a ceramic material. A shoulder at one end of the male member prevents axial movement of the sleeve in one direction and a parallel key between the female member and a stabilizer member prevents rotational movement between the male and female members. The sleeve remains stationary relative to the insulated surface of the male member when the male and female members move longitudinally relative to each other. In an alternative embodiment, a double pin is connected between a lower section and an upper section. Insulation is provided at one end of the double pin. A loading sleeve disposed around the pin absorbs compressional stress and also electrically isolates the upper and lower sections.

摘要: An apparatus for drilling a directional wellbore is disclosed that in one non-limiting embodiment includes a drive for rotating a drill bit, a deflection device that enables a lower section of the drilling assembly to tilt about a member of the deflection device within a selected plane when the drilling assembly is substantially rotationally stationary to allow drilling of a curved section of the wellbore when the drill bit is rotated by the drive and wherein the tilt is reduced when the drilling assembly is rotated to allow drilling of a straighter section of the wellbore, and a tilt sensor that provides measurements relating to tilt of the lower section. A controller determines a parameter of interest relating to the tilt for controlling drilling of the directional wellbore.
