摘要: A method of colour saturation compensation in a video signal is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: processing a luminance signal component of the video signal; determining whether the processing of the luminance signal results in a change in chrominance saturation; if the step of determining reveals that the chrominance saturation has changed, applying a chrominance compensation signal to the chrominance signals to counteract the effects of chrominance saturation, wherein said step of applying a compensation signal include the steps of: generating a compensation signal which is dependent on hue and luminance ratio (output luminance signal/input luminance signal). Apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.

摘要: A variable displacement swash plate type compressor which incorporates a lubrication passage formed in the drive shaft, wherein the lubrication passage provides fluid communication between a discharge chamber and a crank chamber. The lubrication passage maximizes the low of refrigerant gas and lubricating oil to the crank chamber under all operating conditions providing cooling and lubrication to the internal moving components in the crank chamber. The lubrication passage facilitates the efficient flow of lubricating oil from the discharge chamber to the crank chamber.

摘要: A compressor (10) for a vehicular air conditioning system includes a cylinder block (12) having a bore (14). A piston (78) is slidingly received in the bore (14). A cylinder head (16) is mounted on the cylinder block (12) and includes a suction chamber (20) and a discharge chamber (22). A valve plate (18) is provided between cylinder block (12) and the cylinder head (16). The valve plate (18) includes a suction port (26) and a discharge port (35). A suction valve (28) cooperates with the suction port (26) to permit refrigerant to enter the bore (14) from the suction chamber (20). The suction valve (28) includes a terminating portion (28A) and a flexing portion (28B). A recess (32) is formed in the cylinder block (12) adjacent the flexing portion (28B) of the suction valve (28). The recess (32) provides a linear clamping line (C) on the suction valve (28) between the valve plate (18) and the cylinder block (12).

摘要: A multiple port reflection based circulator using a thermally expanded multiple core fiber. The circulator includes optical components to separate, rotate, and combine orthogonally polarized components of light in order to propagate light in one direction among consecutive cores of the fiber. The first and last cores of the fiber also being consecutive cores. The thermally expanded multiple core fiber enabling coupling to the circulator without the use of lenses.

摘要: Emulation software executes upon an operating system of a computer and creates an emulated computer. Bootstrapping code is read into this emulated computer from a sector (such as a master boot record) of a mass storage device. Instructions in the bootstrapping code are executed by an instruction emulator (also using an emulated CPU, emulated memory and an emulated hard disk) and these instructions and behavior are collected as each instruction executes. Access to the actual hard disk may be allowed. The collected information is then compared to a virus signature or behavior rules indicating malware and a conclusion is drawn as to whether the bootstrapping code includes malicious software.

摘要: A motion-compensated optical coherence tomography system includes an optical coherence tomography sensor that includes a common-path optical fiber having an end for emitting light, reflecting reference light and receiving returned light for detection; a motion-compensation system attached to the common-path optical fiber and operable to move at least a portion of the optical fiber so as to compensate for motion between the end of the common-path optical fiber and an object being imaged; and a feedback control system configured to communicate with the optical coherence tomography sensor and the motion-compensation system. The feedback control system is configured to receive information concerning a measured distance of the end of the common-path optical fiber from the object and provide instructions to the motion-compensation system to decrease an amount of deviation of the measured distance from a desired distance.

摘要: A mobile telephone is used to diagnose a computer with malware. The telephone becomes a bootable device with a bootable partition in persistent storage. An operating system image including antivirus software in the bootable partition of the telephone is used to bootstrap the affected computer. The antivirus software executes upon the computer and transfers results (files, checksums, registry data) to the mobile telephone. The telephone uploads these results to a remote cloud service which then develops instructions, patterns, files, etc. for counteracting the malware. The cloud service downloads this response to the mobile telephone which then transfers the response back to the computer. The antivirus software on the computer uses the response to remove the malware on the computer. An interface application on the mobile telephone handles transfer with the computer and uploading and downloading with the cloud service.
