摘要： A braking device is provided with a pad having hard particles on a wavelike friction surface, and a disc having a hard layer on a wavelike friction surface which slides on the wavelike friction surface. The wavelike friction surface has a groove portion in a direction in which the wavelike friction surfaces slide on each other, and the wavelike friction surface has a protruding portion which abuts on the groove. Therefore, the actual contact area between the friction surfaces having the hard members is increased, and a higher frictional force can be obtained without sacrificing wear resistance.

The positioning surface is divided into an upper positioning surface and a lower positioning surface that are positioned above the table. First slide fences allocated to the lower positioning surface and second slide fences allocated to the upper positioning surface are slidably supported in a table surface direction relatively independent from each other. The positioning surfaces of the first and second slide fences constitute an entire region of the positioning surface. In this way, the entire region of the positioning surface is made to be slidable in accordance with various operation modes.

摘要： Conventional disc units each involve the problem that a new disc must be inserted into the disc unit after a disc already present in the disc unit is ejected and that therefore it takes time for disc replacement. In the disc unit of the present invention, to solve the above-mentioned problem, a new second disc which has been inserted into the disc unit through an insertion opening is carried from an insertion area to a disc driving section by a conveying means. On the other hand, a first disc already present in the disc unit prior to insertion of the second disc is ejected from an ejection area to the exterior of the disc unit by both first and second ejection members. The time required for disc replacement can be shortened by performing the disc inserting operation by the conveying means and the disc ejecting operation by the first and second ejection members both in a simultaneous manner.

摘要： A motorcycle shaft drive assembly which provides for easy removal of the rear wheel, drive shaft and final drive assembly is disclosed. The motorcycle has a rear frame section pivotally connected to a front frame section. A rear wheel and final drive assembly are removably connected to the rear frame section. A drive shaft extends from the output of an engine mounted on the front frame section to the final drive assembly. The drive shaft extends into a coupling member at the engine output. A support is provided for the drive shaft when the rear wheel, drive shaft and final drive assembly are being removed from or installed onto the remainder of the motorcycle.
