摘要: A motorcycle shaft drive assembly which provides for easy removal of the rear wheel, drive shaft and final drive assembly is disclosed. The motorcycle has a rear frame section pivotally connected to a front frame section. A rear wheel and final drive assembly are removably connected to the rear frame section. A drive shaft extends from the output of an engine mounted on the front frame section to the final drive assembly. The drive shaft extends into a coupling member at the engine output. A support is provided for the drive shaft when the rear wheel, drive shaft and final drive assembly are being removed from or installed onto the remainder of the motorcycle.

摘要: An all terrain vehicle includes a caliper bracket that moves with the movement of a rear axle by the rotation of an eccentric hub. The eccentric hub rotatably supports the rear axle in a position eccentric to the radial center of an axle supporting section. The caliper bracket includes a range specifying section or, specifically, a first engaging portion, which engages with the rear arm, for specifying the rotating range of the eccentric hub according to the position of engagement with the rear arm. The rear arm includes a second engaging portion that engages with the first engaging portion.

摘要: An all terrain vehicle includes a front wheel, a body frame and a double wishbone type suspension for suspending the front wheel. The body frame has a triangular frame part formed into the shape of a triangle in side view of the vehicle. The triangular frame part includes a first frame extending downward to the front side of the vehicle, a second frame extending downward to the rear side of the vehicle from an upper end of the first frame and a third frame connected to a lower end of the first frame and a lower end of the second frame. The double wishbone type suspension includes an upper arm, which is pivotably supported on the first frame and the second frame so as to be swingable, and a lower arm, which is pivotably supported on the third frame so as to be swingable.

摘要: An all terrain vehicle comprises a compact layout for a brake system. The all terrain vehicle includes a front fender assembly, which is positioned above at least one front wheel, and a rear fender assembly, which is positioned above at least one rear wheel. An engine is supported by a frame assembly and is positioned between the front wheel and the rear wheel. A longitudinal plane extends along an outer lateral surface of the engine and a transverse plane extends along either a rearmost portion of the front fender assembly, a forwardmost portion of a foot step or an intersection between the front fender assembly and the foot step. A master cylinder of the braking system is disposed forward of the transverse plane and inward of the longitudinal plane. The master cylinder is independently operated by a hand actuator and a foot actuator. Movement of either of the actuators does not move the other of the actuators.

摘要: An all terrain vehicle has an adjustable suspension system. The adjustable suspension system features a first spring and a second spring. An intermediate member is positioned between the two springs and may travel in an axial direction along with at least a portion of one of the springs. A travel limiting member, movable by a cam and follower system, is positioned relative to the intermediate member such that the travel limiting surface may stop the movement of the intermediate member thereby disabling at least one of the first and second springs. The cam and follower mechanism is operated via a shifting lever positioned within a recess proximate a seat of the all terrain vehicle and in a location protected from the undercarriage of the all terrain vehicle.
