Abstract: Methods and apparatus may perform dual-band or multi-band mesh operations. A dual-band mesh station (MSTA) capable of operating in an O-band and a D-band may seek to join a mesh network, and may receive O-band beacons from at least one MSTA in the mesh network, where the O-band beacons may include D-band mesh information. The joining MSTA may transmit D-band beacons in a time-period specified by the O-band beacon, and on a condition that a beacon response message is received, may further transmit D-band association information via O-band management frames to join mesh network on the D-band. The joining MSTA may perform contention-free scheduled access in the D-band while sharing D-band transmission information in the O-band to enable concurrent communication in the D-band by neighboring multi-band MSTAs.

Abstract: A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may operate in a dual connectivity (DC) context. While in a RRC_INACTIVE state, the WTRU may receive a paging message from a first cell, which may be associated with a master cell group (MCG). The paging message may indicate that the WTRU is to respond to the paging message on another cell. Also, or alternatively, the paging message may indicate that data for the WTRU is available on an SCG bearer. The WTRU may select a second cell (e.g., a cell other than the first cell) from a secondary cell group (SCG) list, which may include one or more secondary cells. The WTRU may initiate a random access channel procedure with the second cell based on receiving the paging message from the first cell. The WTRU may receive data from the second cell via the SCG bearer while in the RRC_INACTIVE state.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) (e.g., a millimeter WTRU (mWTRU)) may receive a first control channel using a first antenna pattern. The WTRU may receive a second control channel using a second antenna pattern. The WTRU may demodulate and decode the first control channel. The WTRU may demodulate and decode the second control channel. The WTRU may determine, using at least one of: the decoded first control channel or the second control channel, beam scheduling information associated with the WTRU and whether the WTRU is scheduled for an mmW segment. The WTRU may form a receive beam using the determined beam scheduling information. The WTRU receive the second control channel using the receive beam. The WTRU determine, by demodulating and decoding the second control channel, dynamic per-TTI scheduling information related to a data channel associated with the second control channel.

Abstract: Methods for mobility operations based on lower-layer trigger conditions are provided herein. A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may include receiving a configuration message from a network node associated with a serving cell. The message indicates a conditional reconfiguration which, when executed by the WTRU, causes the WTRU to perform a handover to a target cell for performing handover to a target cell. The message indicates a trigger condition which, when met, causes the WTRU to execute the conditional reconfiguration. The method may include sending a measurement report including one or more measurements associated with the target cell, receiving a message from the network node, and immediately executing the conditional reconfiguration and performing the handover to the target cell.

Abstract: A system and methods for performing phased reconfiguration in a wireless communications system are disclosed. The WTRU may be connected to the source cell and may execute a first set of functions towards the source cell. The WTRU may monitor for a first set of preconfigured trigger conditions and a second set of preconfigured trigger conditions. The WTRU may commence a second set of functions towards the target cell based on detection of at least one of the first set of preconfigured trigger conditions while continuing to execute the first set of functions towards the source cell. The WTRU may cease to perform at least a subset of the first set of functions towards the source cell based on detection of at least one of the second set of preconfigured trigger conditions.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for accessessing a wireless network are provided herein. A method according to at least one embodiment includes receiving a transmission including system information indicating a random access channel (RACH) configuration. The RACH configuration may indicate one or more RACH occasions and one or more preambles, each of the RACH occasions associated with at least one of the one or more preambles. The method may include receiving one or more reference signals and transmitting one of the preambles in a RACH occasion that is associated with the transmitted preamble. The transmitted preamble may be selected for transmission based on a measurement of the received one or more reference signals, and wherein the transmitted preamble is transmitted using beamforming parameters derived based on the received one or more reference signals.

Abstract: Methods, devices and systems are provided for performing a random access (RA) procedure. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to receive RA resource sets, where each of the RA resource sets is associated with a node-B directional beam, select an RA resource set from among the RA resource sets, and initiate an RA procedure based on the selected RA resource set. The RA procedure may include selecting multiple preambles which include a preamble for each resource of a plurality of resources corresponding to the selected RA resource set. The WTRU may be configured to sequentially transmit the selected multiple preambles in sequential RA transmissions, and may be configured to receive, from a node-B, in response to the RA transmissions, at least one RA response (RAR), where each of the received at least one RAR corresponds to one of the transmitted multiple preambles.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to measure a downlink quality associated with at least one first beam. The WTRU may be configured to determine whether the measured downlink quality associated with the at least one first beam is below a threshold value. The WTRU may be configured to receive at least one control channel transmission using a determined second beam, based on, in part, a determination that the measured downlink quality associated with the at least one first beam is below the threshold value. The determined second beam used to receive the at least one control channel transmission may be a same beam that is used to receive an associated data channel transmission. The determined second beam may be from a set of beams. The set of beams may be received via higher layer signaling.
