摘要: A method and apparatus for supporting communication buffer status reports (BSRs) are disclosed. A wireless device may transmit a first buffer status report (BSR) and a second BSR in a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) to a first base station. In an example, the first BSR may be associated with first data for transmission to the wireless device from at least one wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). Also, the second BSR may be associated with second data for transmission to the first base station from the wireless device. Further, the wireless device may receive at least a portion of the first data from the at least one WTRU. Moreover, the wireless device may transmit at least a portion of the second data to the first base station. In a further example, the transmitting the first BSR and the second BSR may be based on a priority associated with the first BSR and a priority associated with the second BSR.

The wireless device may produce a BSR, which may include an indication associated with the logical channel group and an index indicating an amount of data for the logical channel group. The wireless device may transmit the BSR to an eNode-B. Then, the wireless device may receive receives allocation information for transmission to the WTRU group. Also, the BSR may further include a plurality of indications associated with a respective plurality of logical channel groups, and the plurality of logical channel groups may be grouped based on priority. The index may further include a total amount of data across all logical channels of the logical channel group.

摘要: Coexistence gaps may permit one radio access technology (RAT) to coexists with another RAT by providing period in which one RAT may be silent and another may transmit. Methods may account for the RAT traffic and for the presence of other secondary users in a channel. Methods may be provided to dynamically change the parameters of a coexistence gap pattern, such as the duty cycle, to adapt to both the RAT traffic and the presence of other secondary users. Methods may include PHY methods, such as synchronization signal (PSS/SSS) based, MIB based, and PDCCH based, MAC CE based methods, and RRC Methods. Measurements may be provided to detect the presence of secondary users, and may include reporting of interference measured during ON and OFF durations, and detection of secondary users based on interference and RSRP/RSRQ measurements.

摘要: A method and apparatus for operating supplementary cells in licensed exempt (LE) spectrum. An aggregating cell operating in a frequency division duplex (FDD) licensed spectrum is aggregated with a LE supplementary cell operating in a time sharing mode for uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) operations. The LE supplementary cell may be an FDD supplementary cell dynamically configurable between an UL only mode, a DL only mode, and a shared mode, to match requested UL and DL traffic ratios. The LE supplementary cell may be a time division duplex (TDD) supplementary cell. The TDD supplementary cell may be dynamically configurable between multiple TDD configurations. A coexistence capability for coordinating operations between the LE supplementary cell with other systems operating in the same channel is provided. Coexistence gaps are provided to measure primary/secondary user usage and permit other systems operating in the LE supplementary cell channel to access the channel.

摘要: A method and apparatus for uplink sounding reference signals (SRS) transmissions are disclosed. A WTRU-specific configuration of WTRU-specific SRS subframes for performing SRS transmissions is received. A trigger is received in a subframe from a base station to transmit a first SRS. A first subframe is selected after the subframe in which the trigger is received which is both a WTRU-specific subframe and at least four subframes after the subframe in which the trigger is received. A determination if a maximum power is exceeded in a symbol in the selected first subframe is made. On a condition that the maximum power is not exceeded in the symbol in the selected first subframe, the first SRS is transmitted in the selected first subframe. On a condition that the maximum power is exceeded in the symbol in the selected first subframe and transmission of at least one channel type other than SRS-type at least partially overlaps in the symbol in the selected first subframe, the first SRS is dropped from the selected first subframe and the at least one channel type other than SRS-type is transmitted. On a condition that the maximum power is exceeded in the symbol in the selected first subframe and transmission of at least one other SRS at least partially overlaps in the symbol in the selected first subframe, transmission powers of the first SRS and the at least one other SRS are scaled equally to comply with the maximum power, and the first SRS is transmitted in the selected first subframe in accordance with the scaled transmission powers, and the at least one other SRS is transmitted in accordance with the scaled transmission powers.

The BSR may include a plurality of indications associated with a respective plurality of groups of WTRUs and respective indications of amounts of data that the wireless device has buffered to transmit each of the plurality of groups. The indication of the amount of data that the wireless device has buffered to transmit to the group of WTRUs may identify a total across all logical channels of the group of WTRUs.

摘要: Methods and devices may be provided for aggregating component carriers in the licensed spectrum with at least one component carriers in the licensed exempt spectrum. Control information may be processed in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) while receiving and sending information on a primary component carrier (PCC) and a supplementary component carrier (SuppCC). A PCC subframe with a control portion and a data portion may be received. Resource assignment information associated with a downlink shared channel on the PCC may be embedded in the control portion of the subframe. Based on the resource assignment information on the PCC, resource assignment information associated with a downlink shared channel on the SuppCC may be identified in the data portion of the PCC subframe. A SuppCC subframe of the shared channel on the SuppCC may be processed as per the identified resource assignment information associated with the downlink shared channel on the SuppCC.
