A method for an oxidatively stable cuphea derived emollient composition having a relatively high capric acid concentration is disclosed. Various features and specifications may be controlled, adapted or otherwise modified to improve the application and utilization of cuphea oil and cuphea oil derivatives as emollients. The present invention generally provides cosmetic, personal care and other topical preparation ingredients having improved oxidative stability as well as other desirable characteristics as compared with naturally derived emollient and/or synthetic emollient alternatives.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are described herein which help prevent particles and other contaminants that are generated when an edge of a glass sheet is processed from contaminating or damaging the glass sheet. The apparatus includes an encapsulation device and a processing device. The encapsulation device is capable of supporting two surfaces of a glass sheet. And, the processing device is capable of processing (e.g., cutting, scribing, grinding or polishing) the edge that is adjacent to the supported two surfaces of the glass sheet which are located on a first side of the encapsulation device. The encapsulation device is also capable of substantially preventing particles and other contaminants that are generated when the processing device processes the edge of the glass sheet from reaching the two surfaces of the glass sheet which are located on a second side of the encapsulation device.

A method for the determination of optimal pipestill operation comprising the steps of: feeding a crude oil feedstream into the pipestill wherein the crude oil feedstream is separated into boiling range fractions, performing a virtual assay of the crude oil feedstream to determine predicted boiling range fraction yields, comparing the predicted boiling range fraction yields with the actual boiling range fraction yields from the pipestill to determine differences between these fraction yields, relating the difference between the fraction yields with the operation of the pipestill.

The invention provides a sanitizing composition in the form of a viscous liquid or gel suitable for use as a handwash composition comprising alcohol, water and a thickener wherein the viscous liquid or gel has particles suspended therein, wherein said particles provide the composition with a granular texture and are capable of being worn away when rubbed. The particles may deliver one or more agents to the skin e.g. antimicrobial, antibacterial or antiviral agents, emollients and/or moisturizers, fragrances, colourings or UV markers.
Abstract:
An audio amplifier is provided that adjusts the supply voltage rails communicated to a power amplifier circuit according to the circuit's output. The amplifier compares the output voltage from the power amplifier to a predetermined voltage range to determine if the output voltage is or is not within a predetermined range. If so, the audio amplifier reduces the supply voltage rails for the power amplifier circuit to reduced values. When the output voltage from the power amplifier moves outside the predetermined range, the supply voltage rails return to maximum levels. Whenever the output voltage from the power amplifier is not within the predetermined range, the audio amplifier maintains the supply voltage rails at maximum levels. By reducing the supply voltage rails for the power amplifier circuit, less power is dissipated by the power amplifier circuit, thereby generating less heat in the audio amplifier.

The invention converts an air mover into an inexpensive, lightweight, portable high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration system. The air filtration system is preferably used either for light-duty or heavy-duty air filtration. Light-duty operation involves strapping a HEPA filtration bag over the exhaust vent of the air mover. Heavy-duty operation involves attachment of a HEPA filter encased in a hard metal or plastic shell to the exhaust vent of the air mover by a flexible sleeve. A conversion kit for converting an air mover to a HEPA filtration system and a method of converting an air mover to a HEPA filtration system are also disclosed.

The control loop is implemented by digital circuitry, and the PWM signal generator is implemented by analog circuitry.

The disclosed medical device includes an inflatable structure configured for positioning in an airway of a human patient and a valve in fluid communication with the inflatable structure. The valve includes a member that is movable between an open position and a closed position. The valve prevents fluid from escaping the inflatable structure when the member is in the closed position. The valve permits fluid to escape the inflatable structure when the member is in the open position. The valve includes a resilient element. The resilient element provides a first force that biases the member towards the closed position. The valve includes a temperature sensitive element. The temperature sensitive element generates a second force that biases the member towards the open position. The first force is greater than the second force when the ambient temperature is below a first value. The first force is smaller than the second force when the ambient temperature is above a second value.

An electrical junction box assembly includes a junction box that has a power input, a hot terminal block, a ground terminal block and neutral terminal block. A plurality of electrical couplers is each in electrical communication with the hot terminal block and the ground terminal block and the neutral terminal block. A plurality of extension cables is each attachable to a respective one of the electrical couplers such that each of the extension cables is in electrical communication with the power input. Each of the extension cables is electrically coupled to a respective electronic device thereby facilitating the respective electronic device to be in electrical communication with the power input. In this way the extension cables supply the respective electronic device with electrical power without requiring permanent electrical wiring to be installed.
