    摘要: A method for communicating with a relay station is disclosed. The method for communicating with a relay station comprises transmitting resource allocation information of downlink traffic and uplink traffic from a base station to the relay; and transmitting the downlink traffic to the relay by encapsulating the downlink traffic in accordance with the resource allocation information and receiving encapsulated uplink traffic from the relay in accordance with the resource allocation information. It is possible to enable efficient communication through a relay using a minimum interface without deterioration of throughput even in the case that a base station does not know detailed attributes of a relay existing in a system. Also, it is possible to coordinate collision through a master relay in case of a system supporting multi-hop relays.

    摘要: A method of transmitting a wideband frame for a wideband system having backward compatibility with a narrowband system includes configuring a wideband carrier by using a set of base carriers, wherein a bandwidth of the base carriers corresponds to a bandwidth of the narrowband system and any one of center frequencies of the base carriers is the same as a center frequency of the narrowband system, and allocating all or some of guard subcarriers between the two adjacent base carriers to a traffic channel when a center frequency spacing between two adjacent base carriers is an integer multiple of a subcarrier spacing. Accordingly, the method can be used to support backward compatibility with the narrowband system. Further, the method can be equally used when the narrowband system co-exists with the wideband system in a guard band defined in a narrowband of a new system.

    摘要: A control channel generation method, a control channel decoding method, and a BS and an MS for implementing the methods are provided. The control channel generation method includes placing a frame control header (FCH) and a MAP within a TTI and generating a control channel for an enhanced communication system at a position after the MAP within the TTI. Another control channel generation method includes generating a control channel for the enhanced communication system and placing an FCH and a preamble at a position after the control channel. These methods enable implementation of an enhanced system that overcomes problems of the legacy system while minimizing influence exerted upon legacy MSs in the case where the base station generates a new control channel for a new MS or where an MS decodes a new control channel.

    摘要: A method for transmitting a preamble in a scalable bandwidth system is disclosed. The method includes transmitting a primary synchronization channel to which symbols are allocated at intervals of two or more subcarriers, through a specific bandwidth out of an entire system bandwidth at a start time point of a synchronization period, and transmitting a secondary synchronization channel through the specific bandwidth with a prescribed time difference from the primary synchronization channel at the synchronization period. A mobile station can use the same search routine irrespective of a system bandwidth, does not experience any difficulty at a cell edge in establishing signal timing synchronization, can simply perform preamble search, and can transmit a signal in a maximum usable bandwidth, thereby improving the accuracy of location measurement.
