摘要: A retriever for a climbing aid used as an anchor in cracks where the aid has an operating bar. The retriever has:(a) a fork body with tines;(b) hooks on the ends of the tines for engaging the operating bar of the climbing aid;(c) finger holds located on the fork body;(d) a longitudinal bore in the fork body extending from the base of the tines to the upper end of the fork body;(e) a rod having a first and a second end and mounted for reciprocation in the bore;(f) a stop secured to the first end for applying pressure upon the support bar of the climbing aid; and(g) a handle secured to the second end and engaging the base of a thumb of a climber.

摘要: An integrated endpoint having a virtual port coupled between an upstream fabric and an integrated device fabric that includes a multi-function logic to handle various functions for one or more intellectual property (IP) blocks coupled to the integrated device fabric. The integrated device fabric has a primary channel to communicate data and command information between the IP block and the upstream fabric and a sideband channel to communicate sideband information between the IP block and the multi-function logic.

摘要: Improved laser sensors (10) employing doped laser crystals (24) for transducing output proportional to forces impinging upon the sensors. The disclosed sensors are compact, low powered and may be constructed relatively inexpensively from readily available materials. The disclosed sensors eliminate the need for costly, optical power-sapping fiber connections at the laser crystals. According to certain embodiments, the disclosed sensors are configured for local recovery of output signals using conventional digital telemetry. According to other embodiments, the sensors generate output through a dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) laser (28), thereby allowing remote recovery without the need for frequency division multiplexing and issues involved with preloading the sensors to produce beat frequencies in unique bands.

摘要: A segmented rolled food item is continuously produced using a rotating segmenting roller having a plurality of parallel circumferential lanes. Each lane contains a series of circumferentially spaced knife edges that are disposed at least substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the roller. A segmented rolled food item is produced by feeding multiple continuous at least substantially parallel strips of a flowable food product, each of which are deposited on pre-slit parallel strips of support material, between the nip of an upper anvil surface and the lower surface of the rotating segmenting roller. The segmentation of the food strip occurs without segmentation of the support strip. After segmenting, the food strip and the support material are cut into lengths to form leading and trailing ends. Each strip of food is rolled around a leading end of the support material to obtain a segmented rolled food item.
