    摘要: In one aspect thereof the invention provides a method that includes transmitting a beacon frame from a first mesh point to a second mesh point; determining if a trigger frame is received at the first mesh point within some predetermined period of time from the second mesh point and, if the trigger frame is not received, transmitting a request to trigger frame from the first mesh point to the second mesh point. In another aspect thereof the invention provides a method that includes receiving a request to trigger frame at a first mesh point from a second mesh point and in response, transmitting an acknowledgment to the request to trigger frame to the second mesh point. A computer-readable medium storing program instructions to implement the methods is also disclosed, as are corresponding apparatus.

    摘要: Various embodiments are disclosed relating to techniques for RTS/CTS usage in a wireless network. According to an example embodiment, a network performance may be measured within a wireless network. A variety of parameters may be measured at a wireless node to determine a network performance. In addition, it may be determined whether the network performance has reached a degraded performance threshold. A frame is transmitted via the wireless network. If the network performance has reached the degraded performance threshold, the frame may be transmitted using a Request-to-Send/Clear-to-Send (RTS/CTS) protection. In another example embodiment, a frame may be transmitted using RTS/CTS protection if an estimated transmission time for the frame exceeds a transmission time threshold.

The multiradio control may be integrated into the WCD as a subsystem responsible for scheduling wireless communications by temporarily enabling or disabling the plurality of radio modems within the device. The multiradio control system may comprise a multiradio controller (MRC) and a plurality dedicated radio interfaces. The radio interfaces are dedicated to quickly conveying delay sensitive information to and from the radio modems. The modems may further include control features that take information from the MRC as an input in determining the priority of messages to be sent out to a receiving device. Uplink and/or downlink operations might, for instance, be performed. Instruction that operation can commence prior to an assigned time period might, for example, be provided. Channel contention might, for instance, be initiated in response to the instruction.

    摘要: Apparatus, and associated method, by which to synchronize nodes in a wireless mesh network, such as a fixed broadband network or a moving ad-hoc mesh network. Time stamps are added to data packets at a reference node defined pursuant to a pseudo hierarchy. The data packets are communicated by the reference node to a receiving node. The time stamp information is extracted therefrom, to provide an indication of a time reference value from which the time stamp information is formed. Registers are maintained at the nodes with updated values of the timing information, used in time synchronization between the nodes of the mesh network.

    摘要: An OFDM receiver determines (12; 27) the pulse response of a radio channel and locates (13; 14) its starting point, end point and the maximum and its value. The difference between the end point and the starting point gives the length of the pulse response. A guard interval time corresponding to the guard interval separating the OFDM symbols is set (17; 18) in the receiver in such a manner that it covers the most significant components of the pulse response. A slow and monotonous temporal shift of the pulse response between measurement rounds indicates an error in the sampling frequency. The error is corrected (23; 31) in such a manner that the pulse response shift is compensated for.
