摘要: A cermet insert having a structure composed of a hard phase and a binding phase and, as a sintered body composition, containing Ti, Nb and/or Ta, and W in a total amount of Ti in terms of carbonitride, Nb and/or Ta in terms of carbide and W in terms of carbide of 70 to 95 wt. % of an entirety of the microstructure, and containing W in terms of carbide in an amount of 15 to 35 wt. % of the entirety of the microstructure, the sintered body composition further containing Co and/or Ni. The hard phase has one or two or more of the phases: (1) a first hard phase of a core-having structure whose core portion contains a titanium carbonitride phase and a peripheral portion containing a (Ti, W, Ta/Nb)CN phase, (2) a second hard phase of a core-having structure whose core portion and peripheral portion both contain a (Ti, W, Ta/Nb)CN phase, and (3) a third hard phase of single-phase structure including a titanium cabonitride phase. Moreover, the titanium carbonitride phase includes a W-rich phase unevenly distributed in the titanium carbonitride phase.

摘要: When a personal computer which implements an information processing apparatus according to this invention discovers communicable access points, the personal computer acquires pieces of information of the discovered access points. These pieces of information include, for example, the network name, communication speed, security level, communication channel, and radio field strength. A communication profile to be used by the personal computer is determined on the basis of these pieces of information, communication profiles set for the access points, and the priority of a communication profile to be used by the personal computer. A connection process between the personal computer and a wireless relay apparatus is automatically performed using the determined communication profile.

摘要: A flat pipe includes a hollow body having a pair of upper and lower walls extending substantially parallel to each other, and opposite lateral sides joined thereto, and a plurality of spacers closely fit between the upper and lower walls of the body and interconnected by a permeable sheet. The spacers are arranged at equal intervals to define a plurality of parallel fluid passages. The spacers are fused to opposite sides of the sheet in alternating relationship so that the sheet is inclined between adjacent spacers. The spacers are resistant to compression and deformation.

摘要: An apparatus for supporting a solar collector unit comprises a pair of spaced carriers, and a support net for supporting a solar collector unit thereon. The support net includes a set of longitudinal wires extending between the carriers, and a set of transverse wires extending in a direction transverse to the longitudinal wires and welded thereto. A pair of tension mechanisms are mounted to the carriers to adjust the tension of the longitudinal wires. The tension mechanisms include holders for holding opposite ends of the longitudinal wires between the carriers, and fasteners operatively associated with the holders to adjust the tension of the longitudinal wires so that the longitudinal wires are aligned in a transverse direction.
