摘要: A mobile device management (“MDM”) server coordinates firmware over-the-air (“FOTA”) updates for mobile devices utilizing presence information. In accordance with some the concepts and technologies disclosed herein, a MDM server utilizes presence information for a subscriber obtained from a presence server to determine when it is appropriate to initiate a MDM session with the subscriber's mobile device over which to deliver a FOTA package to the subscriber's mobile device.

摘要: A system and method for determining an SMS retransmission schedule is provided. When a special error code is received by an SMSC, the SMSC can calculate the response time. The response time is the time that lapsed between forwarding the SMS message for delivery and receiving an error code. If the response time exceeds a response time threshold, the error code can be considered as falsely generated. A special retransmission schedule can be assigned to the SMS message. If the response time does not exceed a response time threshold, a different retransmission schedule can be assigned to the SMS message.

摘要: System(s) and method(s) are provided for registration of non-mobile devices with a mobile network platform for secure content transactions among the mobile network platform and registered non-mobile devices, and mobile and registered non-mobile devices. Through various secure protocols, a registration component within the mobile network platform records non-mobile devices provisioned through a non-mobile network platform. Recordation includes validation of devices associated with the non-mobile devices and retention of devices records. Content transaction(s), e.g., content delivery and exchange, are conducted securely, and abide by license terms for content dissemination. Content transaction(s) can be billed based at least in part on license terms, or subscriber intelligence. Transacted content can be received and formatted by a master non-mobile within a network of provisioned non-mobile devices. The master non-mobile device securely delivers transacted contents to slave non-mobile devices and to the mobile network platform. Advertisement(s) also can be transacted.

摘要: System(s) and method(s) are provided for extension of mobile operation to a device. An extension interface comprises a client component within a mobile that is linked to a client component within the device. Extension of mobile operation is secured via delivery of credentials associated with the mobile to the device. Delivery of credentials is temporary and typically spans the period during which mobile operation is extended to the device. Mobile's application(s) and content(s) can be conveyed to the device for utilization therein. An emulation component that can reside at least in part on the client component within the device can emulate mobile operation. Client component within the mobile can include at least in part (i) a component that downloads drivers for communication with, and utilization of, the device to which mobile operation is extended, and (ii) a component that can scan for wireless-capable devices to extend mobile service thereto.

摘要: A component of the wireless network detects when a party who is sending an electronic message desires to have the sender's ID information blocked. If a determination is made that the sender's ID information is to be blocked, the network component removes the ID information from the communication and transmits the message to the intended recipient without the sender's ID information being included in the transmission.

摘要: Embodiments relate to a MEMS device including a scanner rotatable about at least one rotation axis, with the scanner having a characteristic resonant frequency. According to one embodiment, the MEMS device includes drive electronics operable to generate a drive signal that causes the scanner to oscillate at an operational frequency about the at least one rotation axis. The drive signal has a drive frequency selected to be about equal to the characteristic resonant frequency or a sub-harmonic frequency of the characteristic resonant frequency. According to another embodiment, the drive electronics are operable to generate a drive signal having a plurality of drive-signal pulses that moves the scanner at an operational frequency and sensing electronics are operable to sense a position of the scanner only when the drive-signal pulses of the drive signal are not being transmitted by the drive electronics. The MEMS device embodiments may be incorporated in scanned beam imagers, endoscopes, and displays.

摘要: The detection of touch on an optical touch-sensitive device is disclosed. For example, one disclosed embodiment comprises a touch-sensitive device including a display screen, a laser, and a scanning mirror configured to scan light from the laser across the screen. The touch-sensitive device also includes a position-sensitive device and optics configured to form an image of at least a portion of the screen on the position-sensitive device. A location of an object relative to the screen may be determined by detecting a location on the position-sensitive device of laser light reflected by the object.
