摘要: A server apparatus connected in a communication network provides a plurality of music piece template data files respectively representing features of source music pieces. A client apparatus connected in the communication network requests a music piece template data file from the server. The server delivers and the client receives the requested template data file. The client creates a new piece of music based on the received template data file. The created music piece is a new piece but resembles the source music piece to a certain extent having certain characteristic features of the source music. In an alternative arrangement, the server delivers a source music piece, and the template data file is created at the client side by extracting features from the source music piece.

摘要: A method of converting performance information is carried out by the steps of receiving identification information that identifies an target tone generator different from an available tone generator, reading out first performance information that indicates a music performance in the form of a sequence of tones, and that includes timbre information specifying a timbre of the tones, and changing the timbre information included in the read first performance information based on the received identification information so as to generate second performance information including the changed timbre information adapted to the target tone generator. By such a manner, the available tone generator can process the second performance information to generate the sequence of tones having a timbre as if generated by the target tone generator.

摘要: A chip inductor is made up of a coiled conducting wire and a magnetic member which is formed by sintering and in which the coiled conducting wire is embedded. Both end portions of the coiled conducting wire are exposed to both end surfaces of the magnetic member. External electrodes are formed with conducting thin films and are connected to respective end portions of the coiled conducting wire. An inorganic material is interposed in a clearance between winds of both end portions of the conducting wire and external surfaces of the magnetic member and a clearance between adjoining winds of the conducting wire.

摘要: An interlayer cross-linked smectite is produced by a method which includes the steps of preparing a smectite suspension containing a dissolved water-soluble macromolecular compound, adding a cationic hydroxide oligomer to the suspension thereby subjecting the exchangeable cation in the smectite to ion exchange, allowing the resultant smectite suspension to stand at a fixed temperature for a fixed time thereby allowing the cationic hydroxide oligomer of the smectite to age, separating a solid smectite from the resultant suspension, and heating the separated solid smectite. The interlayer interval of the produced smectite can be controlled by adjusting the amount of the cationic hydroxide oligomer.

摘要: An operation control method for a nuclear reactor performing a load follow-up operation in accordance with a load variation program, wherein a core reactivity which changes with time in a first cycle of operation is predicted based on the load variation program and data for analyzing dynamic characteristics of the reactor, and a change in a liquid poison concentration in the first cycle of operation is obtained based on the predicted reactivity, and reactor power is controlled in the first cycle of operation by adjusting the liquid poison concentration in accordance with the obtained change. When the liquid poison concentration is adjusted and control rods are manipulated, a reactivity introduced by these operations in the first cycle of operation is obtained, and an adjustment to be made to the liquid poison concentration in the second cycle of operation which is the next cycle of operation following the first cycle of operation is obtained from the reactivity introduced in the first cycle of operation. When the change in reactivity in the second cycle of operation becomes equal to that in the first cycle of operation, and reactor power is controlled in the second cycle of operation by performing the obtained adjustment of the liquid poison concentration.

摘要: An attribute weight adjustment engine adjusts a weight of a user in accordance with a record of an identified member ID out of records of an attribute weight adjustment database. The weight adjustment is performed through the multiple regression analysis based on a target similarity resulting from the record of the attribute weight adjustment database and a similarity of each attribute of the attribute weight adjustment database. The resulting weight is identified as the weight of each attribute of the identified user. To account for the weight of each attribute of the user, an attribute weight database is updated, and an unwanted record is deleted from the attribute weight adjustment database.
