    摘要: This invention relates to solid reaction products of aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or araliphatic mono- and/or polyisocyanates and organic, weakly acid mono- and/or polycarboxylic acids for the production of cellular plastics articles and particularly polyurethane foams. The products of the present invention may also be in the form of mixtures with carboxylic acids. The products are suitable for the production of cellular or porous plastics articles, but are preferably used in the preparation of cellular thermoplastic polyurethanes and semi-rigid and particularly rigid polyurethane integral skin foams having a compact outer skin formed by foaming the reaction mixture in closed molds.

    摘要: A polymer precursor containing an oxazolin-2-one ring is made by reacting (a) an amino-reactive group containing compound having at least two groups capable of entering into an addition or condensation reaction with primary or secondary aromatically-bound amino groups with (b) an aromatic amine having at least one primary or secondary aromatically-bound amino group and at least one condensed oxazolin-2-one ring. The reactants are used in quantities such that for each aromatically bound primary or secondary amino group there are from 0.95 to 5 groups present in the amino-reactive group containing compound which are capable of reacting with the amino group. These polymer precursors may be used to produce high molecular weight polymers useful in the production of solid molded products, adhesives, foam plastics and coatings.

    摘要: The instant invention is directed to a process for the production of polyurethane urea elastomers having a gross density of more than 200 kg/m.sup.3 comprising: casting a reaction mixture of(A) an isocyanate prepolymer produced from(a) 1 mole of a compound containing at least 2 Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen atoms and having a molecular weight of from 400 to 10,000 and(b) 2 to 10 moles of diisocyanatodiphenylmethane,(B) an aromatic diamine, and(C) 0 to 50 mole percent, based on component (B), of a polyol containing primary hydroxyl groups and having a molecular weight of from 62 to 6000, the equivalent ratio between component (A) and components (B) + (C) amounting to between 0.9:1 and 1.3:1,into a mold, hardening the reaction mixture in the mold and subsequently removing it from the mold, the improvement wherein said isocyanate prepolymer (A) has been produced using an isomer mixture comprising:from 15 to 80 mole percent of 2,4'-diisocyanatodiphenylmethane,from 20 to 85 mole percent of 4,4'-diisocyanatodiphenylmethane, andfrom 0 to 20 mole percent of 2,2'-diisocyanatodiphenylmethane.

    摘要: Polyamines containing primary amino groups are made by hydrolyzing an isocyanate with water in the presence of a solvent which is a carboxylic acid amide. The solvent must be used in a quantity of at least 10% by weight solvent based on 100% by weight of isocyanate. The weight ratio of solvent to water must be from 3 to 200. A homogeneous phase is maintained during the hydrolysis which is carried out at temperatures of from 20.degree. to 210.degree. C. A not incorporable basic and/or metal catalyst particularly alkali metal hydroxides may be employed. The polyamines produced by this process are particularly useful for the production of polyurethanes.
