Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly to a method for enabling a station (STA) to perform a backoff in a wireless LAN system and an apparatus therefor. In a wireless LAN system according to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for enabling a station (STA) to perform a backoff includes the steps of: performing a first backoff procedure at a first primary channel for a transmission of a data unit having a size of a first channel width; performing a second backoff procedure at a second primary channel for a transmission of a data unit having a size equal to or greater than a second channel width; if a transmission opportunity (TXOP) is permitted as a result of the first backoff procedure, transmitting the data unit having a size of the first channel width; and if a TXOP is permitted as a result of the second backoff procedure, transmitting the data unit having a size equal to or greater than the second channel width.
Abstract:
A method for transmitting an uplink includes: an STA1 transmitting to an AP each of multiple RTS frames through at least one channel from among multiple first channels; the STA1 receiving from the AP at least one CTS frame through at least one channel from among the multiple channels which have received the RTS frames; and an STA2 receiving from the AP at least one CTS frame through at least one channel from among multiple second channels, wherein the at least one CTS frame includes STA identifier information and channel information, the STA identifier information includes information for indicating the STA1 and the STA2, and wherein the channel information includes information on an uplink channel1 allocated for transmitting a data frame1 of the STA1 and information on an uplink channel2 allocated for transmitting a data frame2 of the STA2.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system and, more specifically, provides a method and device for transmitting/receiving a frame in accordance with the bandwidth thereof in a WLAN system. The method for performing a response process in a WLAN system according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a step in which a first station (STA) transmits a frame requesting a response frame to a second STA; and a step in which the first STA awaits the response frame for an ACKTimeout interval. The value of the ACKTimeout interval may be determined differently according to the preamble channel bandwidth type of the frame.
Abstract:
One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for transmitting/receiving information related to an association identification (AID) in a wireless communication system, the transmitting/receiving method comprising: a step in which a second STA having a direct link to a first STA receives an announcement frame related to an updated AID from the first STA; and a step in which the second STA transmits an ACK frame in response to the announcement frame, wherein the announcement frame comprises one or more AID-MAC address pairs and the second STA updates the AID of an STA corresponding to the one or more AID-MAC address pairs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing wireless communication, and includes: transmitting a channel scheduling request frame for querying scheduling information to a database device, the scheduling information being on one or more channels the enabling station wants to query, receiving a channel scheduling response frame including a channel number field and a channel availability duration field from the database device, the channel scheduling response frame not including information on from when a channel identified by the channel number field is available for operation, the channel availability duration field indicating a duration of time during which the channel identified by the channel number field is available for operation, and taking the specific time receiving the channel scheduling response frame as a starting time of channel availability of the channel identified by the channel number field of the channel scheduling response frame.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for channel availability query on multiple locations in a wireless local area network system. A method for a station (STA) to perform a channel query procedure in a wireless communication system comprises: transmitting, at a first STA corresponding to a channel availability query requesting STA, a first message to a second STA supporting the channel availability query procedure, wherein the second STA corresponds to a channel availability query responding STA, wherein the first message comprises device location information of one or more locations for the channel availability query; and receiving, at the first STA from the second STA, a second message comprising channel availability information, wherein the channel availability information is commonly applicable to multiple locations within an area, when the device location information of the first message is for the multiple location within the area.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a power save-polling (PS-Poll) frame and response frame in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system are disclosed. The method for transmitting a frame by a station (STA) in a wireless LAN (WLAN) system includes awakening at a predetermined time, and transmitting a Power Save (PS)-Poll frame to an access point (AP); and receiving information in response to the PS-Poll frame from the access point (AP), wherein information indicating an access category (AC) of the PS-Poll frame is provided from the access point (AP) to the station (STA).
Abstract:
A method of transmitting a White Space Map information in a wireless local area network system (WLAN) is disclosed. A method of transmitting a white space map information from a first station to a second station in a regulatory domain where a licensed device and an unlicensed device are permitted to operate together in a wireless local area network (WLAN) comprises acquiring a first list of available channels at each location of a plurality of locations from a regulatory database; determining a second list of available channels at a white space zone (WSZ) using the first list of available channels at each location of a plurality of locations; and transmitting, to the second station, one of a beacon frame, a probe response frame and a white space map announcement frame comprising a white space map (WSM) element, the WSM element including information of the WSZ and the second list of available channels, wherein the WSZ is a geographical area in which commonavailable channels are set.
Abstract:
A method of dynamic station enablement procedure in a wireless local area network (WLAN) is disclosed. A method of performing an enablement procedure by a first station in a regulatory domain where a licensed device and an unlicensed device are permitted to operate together in a wireless local area network (WLAN) comprises receiving, from a second station, an enabling signal including advertisement protocol element with an advertisement protocol identification (ID) field which indicates an advertisement protocol the second station supports; and exchanging DSE (dynamic station enablement) related messages with the second station using a GAS (generic advertisement service) protocol.
