摘要： An endoscope with a stereoscopic optical channel is held and positioned by a robotic surgical system. A capture unit captures (1) a visible first image and (2) a visible second image combined with a fluorescence second image from the light. An intelligent image processing system receives (1) the visible first image and (2) the visible second image combined with the fluorescence second image and generates at least one fluorescence image of a stereoscopic pair of fluorescence images and a visible second image. An augmented stereoscopic display system outputs a real-time stereoscopic image including a three-dimensional presentation including in one eye, a blend of the at least one fluorescence image of a stereoscopic pair of fluorescence images and one of the visible first and second images; and in the other eye, the other of the visible first and second images.

摘要： A method and system are provided for allowing a subscriber of voicemail services to selectively deactivate a voicemail system and to designate a reviewed voicemail message as “unheard.” A subscriber to voicemail services provided by a telecommunications network-based system contacts the voicemail system and deactivates voicemail services temporarily or indefinitely. Subsequent callers forwarded to the subscriber's voicemail box at the voicemail system receive an announcement that the called party is not presently accepting voicemail messages. Alternatively, no announcement is provided to the calling party, and the calling party simply receives a busy signal or an unanswered call indication. Once the subscriber is ready to begin receiving messages in her voicemail box, the subscriber may reactivate the voicemail system. If the subscriber does accept voicemail messages, and the subscriber receives and reviews voicemail messages, the subscriber may designate any reviewed message as “unheard” so that an audible or visual indication of the presence of voicemail message is reactivated to subsequently alert the subscriber or other user of the presence of voicemail messages in the subscriber's voicemail box.

A preferred embodiment of the invention provides an IP telephone that prepares a notification regarding the receipt of a voicemail message. In another embodiment, the IP telephone sends the notification to a short message service client via a short message service gateway. A method for multimedia object association to digital paper spatial diagrams includes the steps of (1) capturing a media object to be imported into a spatial information system; (2) linking the captured media object to a digital paper document containing a spatial diagram, using a input device configured to select a linking action area located in a first area of the digital paper document and configured to select a location for the captured multimedia data object on a second area of the digital paper document; (3) transferring the media object and the data from the input device to a spatial information system; and (4) combining the media object and the data of the input device to create an updated digital paper document containing the media object.

摘要： A chain-stitch quilting machine and method provide for driving the needles and loopers independently or out of phase, and particularly during the starting of a stitching sequences. Separate drive motors, for example, servo motors, drive a needles separately from the corresponding loopers, or alternatively, a single motor drives needles and loopers that are linked through a differential drive or variably-controllable linkage to move differently, for example, shifting the phase of the needles relative to the loopers. The feature is useful at the beginning of a stitch sequence, by driving the needles and loopers separately in a split start manner. The first stitches can be reliably formed by, for example, advancing the looper ahead of the needle to insure the looper enters a needle thread loop before the needle enters a looper thread loop at the beginning of a stitch chain. Then the needle and looper can be brought into phase late in the first stitch cycle and sew in a predictable fashion. The split drive capability can be used for stitch or thread control problems that might result from a variety of causes that might differ among quilting machine designs. A machine in which the invention can be carried out is disclosed in detail.

摘要： This invention is directed to a system and method for providing a status notification for a message in a communications network. An embodiment of this invention is a voicemail system, which provides a caller in a telecommunications network with the option of requesting a status notification for a voicemail message when the recording of the message is complete. By requesting status notification, the caller is indicating that the voicemail system should track any actions related to the message that occur within the voicemail system. The caller also specifies a destination identifier, which includes formatting and addressing information that the voicemail system uses for subsequent notification. As actions are taken in relation to the message, the voicemail system creates disposition identifiers and associates these identifiers with the message. When a triggering event occurs, such as the recipient deleting the message, the voicemail system retrieves the disposition identifiers to generate the status notification and sends the status notification in the format and to the address specified by the destination identifier.
