Abstract: A system and method are provided for managing mobile platform fault data. The method includes automatically collecting raw fault data regarding at least one fault that occurs onboard the mobile platform utilizing a central maintenance computer (CMC) onboard the mobile platform. The raw fault data is automatically transmitted from the CMC to an onboard computer system (OCS) of the mobile platform and to a central computer system (CCS) located remotely from the mobile platform. The method additionally includes automatically generating at least one electronic mobile platform cabin (MPC) draft fault report from the raw data utilizing a first portion of an electronic logbook function (ELB1) of the OCS. Execution of the ELB1 additionally generates a MPC draft fault report notification message viewable on an OCS display and is automatically downloaded to the CCS. The method further includes automatically correlating the MPC draft fault report with the raw fault data utilizing a second portion of the electronic logbook (ELB2) of the CCS.

Abstract: A method for loading software items on a mobile platform computer based system includes storing published content in a published content repository of a distributed data manager system (DDMS) included in the DDLMS. At least one assigned software part generated using the published content from the published content repository is stored in a DDMS fleet content repository. The assigned software part is communicated to the staging area repository of OCS platform over a secure link. The staged software part is transferred to an installed software parts repository of the OCS after the entire software part is staged in the staging area repository.

Abstract: Various systems and methods for creating media productions are disclosed. Some embodiments include a microprocessor and a computer readable medium. The computer readable medium includes instructions executable by the microprocessor to instantiate an authoring environment that is operable to receive design elements associated with a media production. In addition, the computer readable instructions are executable to form a color environment that defines a color palette to which the media production conforms. The color environment is formed based upon one or more device color guides associated with respective devices used in creating the media production.

Abstract: A method of forming an interstage seal including removing a diaphragm seal box (14) from a gas turbine compressor assembly (10) and removing a labyrinth sealing member (12) from the diaphragm seal box (14). An abradable material layer (34) may be deposited on the diaphragm seal box (14). A spray gun may be mounted in relation to an engine disk (16) of the gas turbine compressor assembly (10) for cold-spraying a quantity of particles toward the engine disk (16). The particles may be sprayed at a velocity sufficiently high to cause at least a portion of the quantity of particles to adhere to the engine disk (16). The spray gun may be controlled to deposit a quantity of particles on the compressor disk (16) to form a geometry (32) that will abrade the abradable material layer (34) during operation of the gas turbine compressor assembly (10). The geometry (32) abrading the abradable material layer (34) forms an interstage seal. Rotation of the engine disk (16) within the gas turbine compressor assembly (10) may be controlled during the step of controlling the spray gun. The diaphragm seal box (14) may be reinstalled within the gas turbine compressor assembly (10) so that the geometry (32) aligns with the abradable material layer (34).
