摘要: A color image forming device includes a housing, a photosensitive unit, an exposing unit, at least three developing units, a transfer unit, and a fixing unit. The housing has a recording medium discharge opening for discharging recording media in a forward direction. The photosensitive unit includes a photosensitive belt with a photosensitive layer. The exposing unit exposes the photosensitive layer to form a series of latent images on the photosensitive belt. The developing units are provided in a forward portion of the housing, each including a different color developing agent for supplying developing agent to the photosensitive belt to develop corresponding latent images into visible images. The transfer unit transfers the visible images onto a recording medium. The fixing unit is provided in a rear portion of the housing unit, fixes the visible images onto the recording medium and transports the recording medium toward the discharge opening.

摘要: An image forming device includes a developer bearing member, a photosensitive member, a developing-bias applying portion, a pressing-force adjusting portion, and a density adjusting portion. The photosensitive member is disposed in contact with the developer bearing member. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the photosensitive member and developed by the developer supplied from the developer bearing member for forming a developer image. The developing-bias applying portion applies a developing bias to the developer bearing member. The pressing-force adjusting portion adjusts the pressing force between the developer bearing member and the photosensitive member. The density adjusting portion controls both the developing-bias applying portion and the pressing-force adjusting portion to adjust, based on adjustment of both the developing bias and the pressing force, an amount of developer in the developer image developed on the photosensitive member, thereby adjusting density of a developer image on a recording medium.

摘要: A magnetic material amount detecting apparatus includes primary winding and secondary winding which are wound on a core having a reading section to which a to-be-detected medium is set close. A current is supplied to the primary winding and an output signal from the primary winding is adjusted by an A.C. current detecting section. Then, a difference between the output signal output from the primary winding and adjusted by the A.C. current detecting section and an output signal from the secondary winding is output as a signal indicating the amount of magnetic material which is present near the reading section.

摘要: A fixing device has a fixing unit and a temperature detection unit. The fixing unit includes a heat roller provided with a roller section and a heater section, and a pressure roller in pressure contact with the heat roller. These rollers are disposed in a protective cover. The roller section includes a base layer of aluminum formed into a hollow cylindrical shape, a black radiation layer, and a toner parting layer. The heater section is disposed in a hollow space of the base layer. In this heat roller, when heat is emitted from the heater section, and the heat is transmitted to the radiation layer via the base layer, greater amount of infrared radiation is emitted from the radiation layer than in the case of a heat roller that is not equipped with the radiation layer. The temperature detecting unit includes an infrared radiation sensor. Thus, even if a noise component is absorbed to some extent by locating the sensor at a distance from the heat roller on an outside of the protective cover, the temperature of the heat roller is detected accurately.

摘要: A printer is provided with: a heating device for heating a solid ink to dissolve the solid ink into a liquefied ink while an alternative current is supplied thereto; a recording device, on which the heating device is provided, for recording record information onto a record sheet by use of the liquefied ink; and a moving device for moving the recording device. An information recording method is provided with the processes of: moving the recording device by the moving device to an ink dissolving position where a moving terminal, which is fixed on the recording device and is electrically connected to the heating device, and a fixed terminal, which is fixed on a frame member of the printer and is electrically connected to an alternative current source, are contacted with each other, only when the solid ink is to be dissolved in the recording device; supplying the alternative current from the alternative current source to the heating device through the fixed terminal and the moving terminal contacted with each other; moving the recording device in a main scan direction of the record sheet by the moving device after the solid ink is dissolved by the heating device; and recording the record information by use of the dissolved ink onto the record sheet by the recording device while the recording device is moved in the main scan direction by the moving device.

摘要: An optical code reader includes a reading window, a reading control circuit for sensing an image of a 2-dimensional code via the reading window in a state where the reading window is set within a preset distance from the 2-dimensional code and converting the sensed image into image data, a guide light source for applying a guide light beam to permit the 2-dimensional code to be guided within the reading range of the reading control circuit, and a portable frame having an opening used as the reading window, for accommodating the reading control circuit and guide light source. In the optical code reader, the guide light beam indicates the center of the reading range and is applied from the guide light source except for a period during which the image of the 2-dimensional code is sensed by the reading control circuit.

摘要: A fluorescent display device including a cathode filament increased in mechanical strength and reduced in end cool. A 26% Re-W filament of 0.64 MG (corresponding to 0.64 mg in weight per 20 cm in length) exhibits an end cool as small as 4.2 mm on each of both sides thereof at a temperature of about 580.degree. C. The end cool in a conventional W filament of the same diameter is increased to about 8 mm. The 26% Re-W filament is increased in mechanical strength by 50% as compared with the conventional W filament.
