摘要: A gas sensor suppresses the deterioration of gas tightness caused by failure of a sealing material. The gas sensor includes: a housing; a sensor element arranged inside the housing; a sealing material filling a gap between the sensor element and the housing; an insulation member arranged on a proximal end side of the sealing material; and an annular metal ring arranged on a proximal end side of the insulation member. The sealing material, the insulation member and the metal ring are fixed under pressure by caulking from a proximal end side to a distal. A proximal-end facing surface of an inner peripheral portion of the metal ring is spaced apart from the caulking portion in an opposing region where an inner end of the caulking portion and the metal ring face each other in an opposed manner.

摘要: In a battery pack including a battery case containing therein a battery cell, a wiring circuit board, and a liquid-absorbing element capable of absorbing the electrolyte leaking out from the battery cell, the liquid-absorbing element is inserted with looseness allowing for expansion in a gap formed by a retaining element on the inner wall surface of the battery case or retaining element on the wiring circuit board. Alternatively, a liquid-absorbing element consisting of a non-absorbent porous retaining element partially holding a liquid absorbent is used and the porous retaining element is fixed to the inner wall surface of the battery case or the wiring circuit board at an absorbent-free zone.

摘要: A conventionally available pile for civil engineering work is constructed such that the pile has in its inside a core body with wedges that stick into soil deep in the ground and function to prevent the pile from coming out of place. A problem exists with such a pile in that placing the core body at an appropriate position inside the pile is difficult. A pile for civil engineering work of this invention enables a core body to be placed at an appropriate position and labor required for the placement to be reduced. A pile (1) for civil engineering work is characterized in that, for example, a guide rail (4) that enables a core body (6) to be guided is provided inside a body of the pile (1), the core body (6) is guided through the guide rail (4), and wedges (6a, 6b) are appropriately guided to cut/pushed-in openings (2a, 2b, 3a, 3b).

摘要: In a gas humidifier used for humidifying fuel in a molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC), a small-size gas humidifier is achieved by carrying out a steam-generating process and a gas humidifying process by the use of the steam by using a single unit. In order to achieve this structure, a plurality of longitudinal tube plates are laminated in a thickness direction with predetermined intervals so that a heat-exchanger core (100) of a plate-fin type is prepared. Heating-use high-temperature fluid (A) is allowed to flow alternately through a plurality of spaces that are formed inside the heat-exchanger core (100) and placed side by side in the horizontal direction so as to direct a gas to be humidified (B) to another space from above to below. An injection tube (210), which is used for spraying liquid (C) that serves as a steam source, is inserted virtually horizontally along tube plates on two sides in an upper portion of each space through which the gas to be humidified (B) flows. A header pipe (220), which is used for supplying the liquid (C) to the injection tube (210), is connected to the injection tube (210) at a place apart from the heat-exchanger core (100). One portion of the gas to be humidified (B) that has been introduced into the heat-exchanger core (100) is allowed to flow outside the heat-exchanger core (100) and to contact the header pipe (220) placed outside thereof.

摘要: A gas sensor includes a detection element for detecting a gas component of a gas to be measured, a casing for holding the detection element and a seal member forming a reference gas space together with the casing. The seal member has an end surface exposed to the atmosphere and a through-hole for establishing communication between the atmosphere and the reference gas space. A cylindrical insert member is inserted in the through-hole of the seal member. A sheetlike air permeable filter is sandwiched between an inner surface of the through-hole of the seal member and the cylindrical insert member so as to cover an atmosphere side opening portion of the cylindrical insert member. The atmosphere side opening portion of the cylindrical insert member is retracted from the end surface of the seal member toward the interior of the through-hole, whereby an atmosphere side face of the air permeable filter is retracted from the end surface of the seal member.

摘要: The present invention provides a production process to obtain a hydrophilic polymer, having a low residual monomer content, with good productivity while keeping the properties of a hydrogel polymer resultant from polymerization. In a drying process for a hydrogel polymer, the hydrogel polymer is dried under normal pressure at a material temperature of not higher than 90° C. until the water content of the hydrogel polymer reduces to 15˜40 weight %, and then the hydrogel polymer is kept for not shorter than 10 minutes either in a state where the change of the water content of the hydrogel polymer is within 5 weight % and where the material temperature is in the range of 70˜120° C. or in a state where the water content of the hydrogel polymer is in the range of 15˜40 weight % and where the material temperature is in the range of 70˜120° C., and then the hydrogel polymer is finish-dried.

摘要: A method for producing a cross-linked polymer manifesting a high absorption capacity and having a small content of soluble component by a convenient and expeditious process with high productivity is provided. An absorbent resin such that disposable diapers and other products incorporating the absorbent resin manifest outstanding qualities and a method for the production of the absorbent resin are proposed. The cross-linked polymer according to this invention is produced by a method of polymerizing an aqueous polymerizable monomer solution containing a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a first cross-linking agent capable of forming a hydrogel polymer by polymerization, which method comprises the steps of performing the polymerization in a substantially static state from the time at which the polymerization is initiated till the time at which the whole polymerization system is gelated, subsequently giving the polymerization system a thorough shearing force thereby granulating the hydrogel polymer before the polymerization system has the temperature thereof elevated by the heat of polymerization to the highest level, and further continuing the polymerization.
