    摘要: A surgical portal apparatus includes a portal housing, an elongated portal member connected to the portal housing and depending therefrom, and a seal member comprising a resilient material and being mounted to the portal housing. The portal housing and the portal member have an axial bore for reception and passage of a surgical object. The seal member includes leading and trailing faces and has inner portions defining a passage to permit passage of a surgical object. One of the leading and trailing faces defines a plurality of recessed cells formed within interconnected struts. The interconnected struts are relatively flexible to flex upon radial offset manipulation of the object to permit corresponding movement of the passage while substantially maintaining a seal about the surgical object. At least some of the recessed cells define a generally rectangular arrangement. Preferably, the leading end face of the seal member has the recessed cells.

The apparatus includes an anastomosis device including an anvil assembly having a shaft which is selectively attachable to a tubular body portion, wherein the tubular body portion includes at least one annular row of staples operatively disposed therein. The apparatus further includes a disk having an outer terminal portion and a substantially centrally located aperture. The disk includes an adhesive material at the outer terminal portion. Wherein the outer terminal portion of the disk extends radially outward beyond the outer-most row of the at least one annular row of staples to adhesively attach the tissue sections together radially outward of the at least one annular row of staples.

    摘要: An apparatus for forming an anastomosis between adjacent intestinal sections is provided. The apparatus includes an anastomosis device including an anvil assembly having a shaft which is selectively attachable to a tubular body portion; and a hub for locating an annular structure between the adjacent intestinal sections. The hub includes a central sleeve defining a lumen for receiving the shaft of the anvil assembly therein. The central sleeve forms a connection portion for engaging a feature on the anastomosis device and connecting the hub to the device. The apparatus further includes an annular structure operatively connected to the sleeve and extending radially outwardly therefrom.

The first and second shaped sections are movable about a hinge between a collapsed position in which the abutment surfaces extend away from the longitudinal axis of the elongate body and a deployed position in which the abutment surfaces abut and are substantially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the elongate body, the abutment surfaces controlling a deployed angle of the tissue facing surface of the plug member with respect to the elongate body.
