    摘要： The present invention provides a method and system of accessing at least one target file in a computer system with an operating system with file locking implemented with byte-range locking. In an exemplary embodiment, the method and system include obtaining a set of handles that corresponds to a set of all files that are open in the computer system, determining within the kernel of the operating system a set of file identifiers that corresponds to the set of handles, identifying from the set of file identifiers a file identifier that corresponds to the target file, sending the identified file identifier to the kernel, initializing within the kernel file caching for the identified file identifier, and requesting within the kernel the cache manager of the operating system to obtain by using the identified file identifier a region of the target file from the file system driver of the operating system.

    摘要： A container for holding a wafer includes an enclosure portion having a top, a bottom, a pair of opposing sides, a back and an opposing open front defined by a door frame. A door is sealingly engagable in the door frame to close the open front. The container further includes wafer restraint means in the enclosure including fixed wafer restraint means and operable wafer restraint means. The operable wafer restraint means is selectively positionable by engaging and disengaging the door from the door frame, and is positioned so to enable insertion or removal of a wafer from the container when the door is disengaged from the door frame and positioned so as to cooperate with the fixed wafer restraint means to restrain the wafer in the container when the door is engaged in the door frame.

    摘要： A technique enables a server, such as a filer, configured with a plurality of virtual servers, such as virtual filers (vfilers), to participate in a plurality of private network address spaces having potentially overlapping network addresses. The technique also enables selection of an appropriate vfiler to service requests within a private address space in a manner that is secure and distinct from other private address spaces supported by the filer. An IPspace refers to each distinct address space in which the filer and its storage operating system participate. An IPspace identifier is applied to translation procedures that enable the selection of a correct vfiler for processing an incoming request and an appropriate routing table for processing an outgoing request.

    摘要： A gateway apparatus includes multiple network server cards which are synchronized with each other to allow time slot switching of synchronous data across an asynchronous medium between source and destination server cards. The gateway includes synchronization logic and a data adaptation layer which implements a protocol for formatting of synchronous serial data. The data undergoes serial to parallel conversion and is formed into per time slot subpackets which are further packetized along with context and synchronization data. The packet is transmitted through an asynchronous switch after which the packet is disassembled into its constituent subpackets and queued into play-out buffers according to each subpackets' associated context and synchronization data. The apparatus allows synchronous data to be switched from a source time slot to a destination time slot across the asynchronous switch with a known, fixed delay. The gateway apparatus requires only a single asynchronous switch to transmit data between and among both the synchronous and asynchronous domains.
