    摘要: There is provided a combustion control system for a direct-injection spark-ignition internal combustion engine, including a fuel injection valve that injects fuel directly into a cylinder of the engine to form an air-fuel mixture in a combustion chamber of the engine cylinder, a spark plug that ignites the air-fuel mixture, and a control unit that performs combustion retard control to set an ignition timing of the spark plug at a point after compression top dead center and set an injection period of the fuel injection valve at a time after compression top dead center and before the ignition timing in such a manner that a time interval from a start point of the injection period to the ignition timing increases with decrease in a temperature in the engine cylinder at a cold start of the engine.

    摘要: A recording apparatus for recording input image data on a recording medium includes: a buffer memory for storing a plurality of lines of input image data as recording data; a recording section which can record on the basis of the recording data at different speeds; and a speed storage section storing a plurality of recording speeds at which recording is performed by the recording section, one of the recording speeds stored in the speed storage section being selected as the recording speed for the recording section in accordance with the amount of recording data stored in the buffer memory. That is, when the amount of recording data stored in the buffer memory is larger than a predetermined number of lines .alpha..sub.1, uniform-speed recording is performed at a first recording speed, and when the amount has become smaller than the number of lines .alpha..sub.1, uniform-speed recording is performed at a second, slower recording speed. When, afterwards, the amount of recording data in the buffer memory has become larger than a second predetermined number of lines .alpha..sub.2 (>.alpha..sub.1), the recording speed is switched back to the first recording speed, at which uniform-speed recording is performed, thereby making it possible to prevent deterioration in recording quality due to variation in the recording period of the input image data while using a small-capacity memory.

    摘要: Based on a fuel supplying amount in accordance with an engine operating condition, a discharge amount of a predetermined fuel component contained in exhaust gas to be discharge per unit time is estimated, and integrated by an accumulation amount of the fuel component accumulated in an exhaust purification element. Furthermore, according to an exhaust gas temperature that flows into the element, an amount of the fuel component to be removed from the element per unit time is estimated, and the amount is subtracted from the accumulation amount. When the accumulation amount is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, a determination is made that a timing to forcefully remove the fuel component accumulated in the element has arrived. Then, an alarming lamp is lightened, and a forceful removing processing is performed by raising a temperature of the exhaust gas above a temperature at which the fuel component is removed.
