摘要: A communication protocol proxy enables a CEBus network to be mapped across a non-CEBus network, thereby allowing a remotely located node (e.g., a controller) to communicate via a non-CEBus network with electronic devices connected to the CEBus network, while still conforming with the EIA/IS-60 protocol requirements. In a preferred embodiment, a proxy node is provided on a CEBus network, wherein the proxy node is also connected to a non-CEBus network, (e.g., a wide area network ("WAN")), such that a remotely located controller on the non-CEBus network may communicate with a device on the CEBus network by transmitting messages to the proxy node over the non-CEBus network. The proxy node then forwards the message to the respective CEBus device over the CEBus network. If the message requires a CEBus Ack message response, the CEBus device transmits a CEBus Ack message to the proxy node, so that it is received within the time interval specified by the CEBus standard. On receiving the CEBus Ack message, the proxy node transmits a non-CEBus standard acknowledge message to the controller, which can be received over an extended time interval. If the message does not require a CEBus Ack message response, the proxy node still transmits a non-CEBus standard acknowledge message to the controller in order to verify receipt of the message.

摘要: A subscriber network interface for connecting a subscriber premise location to a broadband communication network transporting multiple two-way communication signals, including at least RF analog and RF carrier modulated ATM cells, respectively, includes a coupler for directing incoming communication signals onto, and outgoing signals off of, respectively, at least first and second internal RF communication paths, wherein the first RF communication path includes a bandwidth filter for restricting transmission to, e.g., a CATV broadcast signal, and the second RF communication path is connected to a first modem configured for demodulating and modulating, respectively, the incoming and outgoing ATM cells. A second modem for separately demodulating and modulating, respectively, incoming and outgoing digital baseband signals may also be provided.

摘要: The invention comprises a connection system, implemented as an apparatus and method of use thereof, for linking vehicle towing related information with a service and/or a product provided by a company. The connection system optionally timely provides information about a towed vehicle and/or towing event to a service system where the towing related information is optionally: obtained through a standardized uplink utilized by a set of towing companies; used to develop a towing/services relationship calibration; provided to a probabilistic prediction system; directly related to an incident; related to non-incident vehicle status; related to a specific actor, location, incident, vehicle type, and/or vehicle sub-system; and/or is provided to the service system, such as a retailor or a vendor.

摘要: A dust suppressing aggregate includes a core particle and a dust suppressing agent. The dust suppressing agent comprises polycarbodiimide and is disposed about the core particle for suppressing dusting of the core particle. A method of forming the dust suppressing aggregate includes the steps of reacting isocyanates in the presence of a catalyst to form the polycarbodiimide and encapsulating the core particle with the polycarbodiimide to form the dust suppressing agent. A system for producing the dust suppressing aggregate includes the core particle, the isocyanates, and the catalyst.

摘要: Network topology information may be determined for a plurality of network devices on a network. System identifier information may then be determined for each of the plurality of network devices on the network. The system identifier information may be a list of network solutions that each network device actually or potentially belongs to. The system may then flag the system identifier information to indicate whether each solution is an actual or a potential solution.
