摘要: Optical disc drives designed for reduced power consumption switch the supply voltage in three stages between first, second, and third power supplies. The reduction in power consumption that is possible in the focusing and tracking drive circuits with three stage switching control is limited. This drive apparatus enables further reductions in power consumption. A drive output tracking signal is generated according to the drive conditions of the focusing or tracking drive circuit. The drive output tracking signal is applied to the drive circuit power supply, and the power supply is controlled according to the drive output tracking signal. A power supply change detector detects sudden changes in the drive output tracking signal, and inputs the detection signal to the DSP controlling the entire system. The DSP determines whether to improve the power supply response by comparison with predetermined conditions, and returns the result to the power supply.

The drive signal generating unit is controlled based on the speed difference detection signal.

摘要: In a PWM-controlled motor driving device, a phase current is prevented from undergoing an abrupt transition at phase current switching points, thereby reducing vibrations and noise of the motor. A PWM control section produces two independent PWM control pulse signals P1 and P2. Two energized phases, which are determined by an energization switching section, are energized with PWM control in parallel according to the PWM control pulse signals P1 and P2. A comparison section compares a current detection signal DS, which indicates the level of the current flowing through a motor coil, with various torque command signals TQ1, TQ2 and TQ3, which are produced by a torque command signal generation section. A masking section masks comparison results CR1 and CR2 as necessary. Thus, an ON period of the PWM control pulse signal P1 and that of the PWM control pulse signal P2 are determined. In this way, phase current switching can be done smoothly with any torque from a low torque to a high torque, thereby preventing an abrupt phase current transition.

摘要: The information processing apparatus 200 includes: a process unit 220 having one or more registers that retain data used for calculation; a compression unit 240 that compresses and saves the content in the register to a stack memory 231; and a decompression unit 240 that decompresses and restores the data saved in the stack memory 231, to the corresponding registers. If a first decoding unit included in the process unit 220 has decoded a call instruction which is assigned a compression control bit, the compression unit 240, in executing the call instruction, performs compression before saving the content of the registers to the stack memory 231. If a second decoding unit included in the process unit 220 has decoded a return instruction which is assigned a decompression control bit, the decompression unit 240, in executing the return instruction, performs decompression before restoring the content saved in the stack memory 231 to the registers.
