    摘要: An optical digital regenerator for digitally regenerating an input signal in an intact optical state. A first operating unit has a first probe light generator for generating a first probe light and a first optical operator for converting a waveform of the first probe light output from a first probe light generator according to an optical intensity waveform of the input signal light. A clock extractor extracts a clock component of the input signal light from a photocurrent generated by the first optical operator. A second optical operating unit has a second probe light generator for generating a second probe light pulsed in accordance with the clock output from the clock extractor and a second optical operator for sampling the second probe pulse light output from the second probe light generator.

    摘要: When an intensity modulating operation and a phase modulating operation are carried out by employing a 2-electrode MachZehnder type optical modulator preferably a LN-MZ type optical modulator, a drive signal of this 2-electrode LN-MZ type optical modulator is produced from an intensity modulation signal and a phase modulation signal with a low loss and a simple arrangement. A optical modulating apparatus includes a splitter/combiner structured to split an intensity modulation signal inputted into a first input terminal into a first electric signal having an in-phase relationship with that of the intensity modulation signal and second electric signal having an inverse phase relationship therewith, split a phase modulation signal inputted into a second input terminal into a third electric signal having an in-phase relationship with that of the phase modulation signal an also a fourth electric signal having an in-phase relationship therewith, combine the first electric signal with the fourth electric signal to thereby output a first combined signal, and combine the second electric signal with the third electric signal to thereby output a second combined signal; and an optical modulating means structured to split a light carrier wave entered from a light source into two light carrier waves, and to optically modulate the two sets of the split light carrier waves by using the first combined signal and the second combined signal derived from the splitter/combiner, and combine the two phase-modulated above said light carrier waves to output an optical modulation signal.

    摘要: A waveform converter includes a transmission-type InGaAsP electroabsorption optical modulator 10 using the Franz-Keldysh effect. Continuous light (probe light) 12 as a target of wavelength conversion is fed to an end surface 10a of the optical modulator 10 while a constant voltage of 3 V is applied to the optical modulator 10. An optical circulator 14 is supplied with original signal light (signal light to be waveform-converted) 16 through its terminal A, and delivers it from the terminal B thereof to another end surface 10b of the optical modulator 10. The optical modulator 10 gives a loss to the probe light 12 according to the intensity of the original signal light 16 and makes the waveform of the probe light 12 to be substantially the same as the original signal light. The probe light waveform-converted by the optical modulator 10 and output from the end surface 10b is fed to a terminal B of an optical circulator 14 as a waveform-converted light 18 and output from its terminal C.

    摘要: A lubricant applicator has a horizontally oriented spindle on which a disk to be processed is detachably attached and rotated with the spindle. After a lubricant is sprayed on both its surfaces from nozzles disposed adjacent thereto, the disk is brought between a pair of vertically stretched tapes while rotating with the spindle. A pair of grippers sandwiching the disk applies pressure on its surfaces through the tapes to uniformly control the lubricant film thickness on the disk surfaces.

The intake passage member comprises a compressor, a pre-chamber on the downstream side of the compressor, a throttle valve on the downstream side of the pre-chamber, and a heat insulating elastic member interposed between the compressor and the pre-chamber and between the pre-chamber and an intake port of the engine. The portion of the intake passage that has the pre-chamber and the valve is supported in a floating condition by said elastic member on both ends thereof.
