摘要: A user can define a filter to applied be to one or more datasets. The filter includes a specification of a field to filter. Upon applying the filter to a dataset, if the specified field cannot be found in the dataset, a field in the dataset is selected as a default field to filter. Selecting what field in the dataset should be the default field is based on evaluating a set of rules. The default field is then filtered according to the filter criteria.

摘要: A wound healing composition comprising an amount of heat shock protein effective to promote wound healing and a method thereof to apply the composition. A preferred heat shock protein is either full-length hsp90α or the middle domain plus the charged sequence of hsp90α. The composition is topically applied to skin wounds, covering the outer surface of the wound. The heat shock protein acts by promoting migration of both human epidermal keratinocyte and dermal fibroblasts to the wound in order to close, heal, and remodel the wound.

摘要: A black silicon based metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector includes a silicon substrate and a black silicon layer formed on the silicon substrate. An interdigitated electrode pattern structure is formed on the black silicon layer, which can be a planar or U-shaped structure. A thin potential barrier layer is deposited at the interdigitated electrode pattern structure. An Al or transparent conductive ITO thin film is deposited on the thin potential barrier layer. A passivation layer is provided on the black silicon layer. In the black silicon based metal-semiconductor-metal photodetector, the black silicon layer, as a light-sensitive area, can respond to ultraviolet, visible and near infrared light.

摘要: A transcatheter delivery device for delivering a slide-and-lock stent to a stenosed lumen consists of an outer cannula (3), an inner sheath (2) and a balloon catheter (1). The distal end of the balloon catheter (1) is a balloon (5). The length and diameter of the balloon (5) can be chosen according to the requirement of the stent. A cone (4) is attached to the distal end of the balloon (5) to prevent the stent sliding to the distal end. The proximal part of the cone (4) can be inserted into the outer cannula (3) to maintain the external surfaces of the cone (4) and the outer cannula (3) on the same level. The inner sheath (2) is a little shorter than the balloon catheter (1) and extends to the proximal end of the balloon (5) so as to prevent the stent sliding to the proximal end.

摘要: Key genes, microRNAs, other non-coding RNAs and a combination thereof for identifying and regulating pluripotency of cells are provided. The key genes, microRNAs, other non-coding RNAs and a combination thereof are highly expressed in full pluripotent stem cells but are significantly suppressed or silenced in partially pluripotent stem cells. The genes, microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs are those of a chromosome imprinted Dlk1-Dio3 region located on the long arm of mouse chromosome 12, and are homologous genes, microRNAs and other non-coding RNAs having 70-100% homology with them in genomic syntenic regions of other mammals. Also provided are uses of the genes, microRNAs, other non-coding RNAs and combination thereof in identifying the pluripotent status of stem cells and regulating pluripotency of cells; in typing stem cells; regulating pluripotency of cells, pluripotent states and levels of cells; treating diseases; and developing drug targets for tumor treatment and antitumor drugs.

摘要: A computer implemented method for creating a depth range buffer for supporting clipping geometries for ray-casting includes inputting image data, establishing a depth range buffer for specifying a start and an end point of each ray, computing a near depth of the image data corresponding to the start point of each ray, computing a far depth of the image data corresponding to the end point of each ray, clipping the volume by restricting ray-casting within the start and end points of the depth range buffer, and rendering a portion of the image data corresponding to the visible depth range.

摘要: A target outcome fund mimics an option in an underlying risky asset by holding a mix of the risky asset and a low-risk asset. The relative amount of the risky asset and the low risk asset held by the fund is periodically (e.g., monthly) rebalanced based on the fund's performance. If the fund over-performs, the target outcome is increased accordingly to prevent the fund becoming overly invested in the risky asset, thereby protecting gains made.
