    摘要: A process is disclosed for the manufacture of CF3CF═CH2 and CF3CH═CHF. The process involves dehydrofluorinating CF3CHFCH2F in the presence of a dehydrofluorination catalyst to produce a product mixture comprising CF3CF═CH2 and CF3CH═CHF, and recovering said CF3CF═CH2 and CF3CH═CHF from the product mixture. The present invention also provides a composition comprising (a) the Z-isomer of CF3CH═CHF and (b) HF; wherein the HF is present in an effective amount to form an azeotropic combination with the Z—CF3CH═CHF.

In one embodiment, the one compound selected from the group consisting of alcohols, halocarbons, fluoroalkyl ethers, hydrofluorocarbons, alkanes is either methanol, ethanol, iso-propanol, n-propanol, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, cis-1,2-dichloroethylene, n-propyl bromide, C4F9OCH3, C4F9OC2H5, HFC-43-10mee, HFC-365mfc, heptane, or combinations thereof. In another embodiment, these compositions are useful in cleaning applications as a degreasing agent or defluxing agent for removing oils and/or other residues from a surface.

    摘要: A process is disclosed for making CF3CF═CH2 or mixtures thereof with CHF═CFCHF2. The process involves contacting CCl3CF2CF3 and optionally CCl2FCF2CClF2 with H2 in the presence of a catalyst including a catalytically effective amount of palladium supported on a support of alumina, fluorided alumina and/or aluminum fluoride, to produce a product mixture including CH2═CFCF3 (and when CCl2FCF2CClF2 is present, CHF═CFCHF2); recovering CH2═CFCF3 or a mixture thereof with CHF═CFCHF2 from the product mixture; and optionally, separating at least a portion of any CHF═CFCHF2 in the product mixture from the CH2═CFCF3 in the product mixture. The mole ratio of H2 to the total of CCl3CF2CF3 and CCl2FCF2CClF2 fed to the reaction zone is between about 1:1 and about 5:1. The present invention also provides another process for making CH2═CFCF3 or mixtures thereof with CHF═CFCHF2 This process involves (a) reacting CCl3CF2CF3 and optionally CCl2FCF2CClF2 with H2 in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a hydrogenation catalyst to form CH3CF2CF3 (and when CCl2FCF2CClF2 is present, CH2FCF2CHF2); (b) dehydrofluorinating CH3CF2CF3 and optionally any CH2FCF2CHF2 from (a) to form a product mixture including CH2═CFCF3, and if CH2FCF2CHF2 is present, CHF═CFCHF2; (c) recovering CH2═CFCF3 or a mixture thereof with CHF═CFCHF2 from the product mixture formed in (b); and optionally (d) separating at least a portion of any CHF═CFCHF2 in the product mixture formed in (b) from the CH2═CFCF3 in the product mixture formed in (b).The present invention also provides compositions involving CH2═CFCF3 and/or CHF═CFCHF2, including compositions useful as refrigerants, foam blowing agents, cleaning agents and aerosols and azeotropic compositions involving (a) CF2HCF═CFH and (b) HF.

    摘要: A liquid phase process is disclosed for producing halogenated alkane adducts of the formula CAR1R2CBR3R4 (where A, B, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are as defined in the specification) which involves contacting a corresponding halogenated alkane, AB, with a corresponding olefin, CR1R2═CR3R4 in a dinitrile or cyclic carbonate ester solvent which divides the reaction mixture into two liquid phases and in the presence of a catalyst system containing (i) at least one catalyst selected from monovalent and divalent copper; and optionally (ii) a promoter selected from aromatic or aliphatic heterocyclic compounds which contain at least one carbon-nitrogen double bond in the heterocyclic ring. When hydrochlorofluorocarbons are formed, the chlorine content may be reduced by reacting the hydrochlorofluorocarbons with HF.New compounds disclosed include CF3CF2CCl2CH2CCl3, CF3CCl2CH2CH2Cl and CF3CCl2CH2CHClF. These compounds are useful as intermediates for producing hydrofluorocarbons.Azeotropes of CClF2CH2CF3 with HF and azeotropes of CF3CH2CHF2 with HF are also disclosed; as are process for producing such azeotropes.A process for purification of certain hydrofluorocarbons and/or chloro-precursors thereof from mixtures of such compounds with HF is also disclosed.
