    摘要: An apparatus capable of sensing sudden approach of a succeeding vehicle and emitting an alarm, while being free from malfunction that may otherwise be caused by the noise from the succeeding vehicle which has approached at a normal speed and stopped in the proximity. The sensing apparatus includes a transmitter disposed in a rear bumper of a vehicle for transmitting ultrasonic waves toward a succeeding vehicle; a receiver disposed in the rear bumper for receiving the ultrasonic waves reflected from the succeeding vehicle; a circuit for detecting the approach speed of the succeeding vehicle from the difference between the frequencies of the reflected waves and the transmitted waves, and generating an alarm signal when the detected approach speed has exceeded a predetermined value; a circuit for detecting the approach distance of the succeeding vehicle at a normal speed from the signal strength of the reflected ultrasonic waves, and interrupting the action of the ultrasonic transmitter and receiver when the detected distance has become shorter than a predetermined value; and an alarm activated in response to the alarm signal and giving a warning of danger to drivers of both the apparatus-installed vehicle and the succeeding one.

    摘要: In a speed control system for vehicles, a speed-difference calculation circuit calculates an absolute value of a time difference between a predetermined period of time corresponding with a desired speed and the actual period of time corresponding with the actual speed, an acceleration calculation circuit calculates an absolute value of a time difference between the preceding and following actual periods of time within a limited range, and correction signal generator calculates a sum of the absolute values when each sign of the calculated time differences is positive or negative and calculates a difference between the absolute values when respective signs of the calculated time differences are opposite to each other. The signal generator selectively produces correction signals related to the calculated sum and the calculated difference. A distribution circuit produces a control signal in response to the respective correction signals, and an actuator controls the opening angle of the engine throttle in response to the control signal.

    摘要: A digital display system with a control unit and a plurality of display units each adapted to be driven by a signal from the control unit. The control unit includes an A.C. power supply for generating a fixed A.C. voltage, and the control unit produces a multi-parallel-bit digital signal indicative of time or the like, extracts a pulse signal at the fixed frequency from the A.C. voltage, modulates the pulse signal with respective bits of the digital signal to produce a time-division multiplex signal, supplies the A.C. voltage to the respective display units and feed the time-division multiplex signal. Each of the display units rectifies the supplied A.C. voltage to produce a power supply voltage for the display unit, produces from the supplied A.C. voltage to be used for display, further produces a display signal from the produced A.C. voltage and the time-division multiplex signal and feed the display signal to a display device to display time or the like. The time-division multiplex signal sent from the control unit includes a reference time signal of a fixed frequency necessary for the display units so that the display units do not need to include oscillators to produce the reference time signal.
