摘要: A method, system, and computer program for routing an outgoing communication in real time is presented. A communication is received from a caller to an intended receiving wireless telecommunication device. In response to the communication failing to connect to the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device, a host carrier initiated query of third party priority of contacts routing preferences of the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device is initiated to determine if other communication devices are available for receiving a re-route of the original communication. If third party routing preferences of the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device have previously been established, then the call is rerouted through one or more alternate telecommunication devices to the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device. The priority of contacts is stored with the host carrier.

摘要: A method, system, and computer program for routing an incoming voice call in real time is presented. A call is received from a caller to an intended receiving wireless telecommunication device. In response to the call failing to connect to the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device, a short range wireless query signal is transmitted to determine if an other wireless communication device is within a predefined proximity to the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device. If the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device receives a response from the other wireless telecommunication device indicating that the other wireless telecommunication device is within the predefined proximity to the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device, then the call is rerouted to the other wireless telecommunication device.

摘要: A method, system, and computer-readable medium embodying a computer program for securing a communication against access by unintended users is presented. A communication is initiated from a person using an originating telecommunication device to an intended receiving wireless telecommunication device. In response to the communication failing to connect to the intended receiving wireless telecommunication device, a telecommunications host carrier provider may re-route the communication to an alternate telecommunication device. A business authentication logic of the host carrier then determines any security or quality of service filters established by the user of the originating telecommunication device prior to the communication being initiated to prevent unintended users from accessing the communication. Upon the business authentication logic of the host carrier authorizing the communication, the communication is encrypted and re-routed to the alternate telecommunication device. Upon receipt, the user of the alternate telecommunication device may then decrypt and access the secured communication.

摘要: An apparatus and method is disclosed for aggregating API calls within a higher level Batch Submission API (BSA) having a sender BSA (SBSA) and a receiver BSA (RBSA). Specifically, one or more directory limit records needed for the restoration process on a particular server are grouped by the SBSA into one large buffer. The SBSA validates batch records prior to transmitting them to a receiver. The SBSA does not transmit the records if either (1) all of the records fail pre-submission validation or (2) a certain percentage of the records fail pre-submission validation. Once the SBSA has performed the pre-submission validation of the records, a buffer and count (BC) is transmitted to a receiver BSA (RBSA) at a second computer. The BC contains records passing pre-submission validation checks and a count of the records contained within the buffer. The RBSA would then process each of the directory limits records contained in the buffer at the second computer.

摘要: The software tool of this invention estimates the costs of an application program accessing a database. These costs may be execution costs of the application or of a transaction, SQL statement, and/or a utility. Execution costs include CPU time, I/O time and minimum elapsed time. For estimating the execution costs, the tool receives simplified and partial definitions of tables, utilities, SQL statements, transactions, and applications. The estimator tool requires only a minimal amount of information to calculate the various execution costs.

摘要: A mechanism is provided for reusing importance sampling for efficient cell failure rate estimation of process variations and other design considerations. First, the mechanism performs a search across circuit parameters to determine failures with respect to a set of performance variables. For a single failure region, the initial search may be a uniform sampling of the parameter space. Mixture importance sampling (MIS) efficiently may estimate the single failure region. The mechanism then finds a center of gravity for each metric and finds importance samples. Then, for each new origin corresponding to a process variation or other design consideration, the mechanism finds a suitable projection and recomputes new importance sampling (IS) ratios.

摘要: A method for reducing I/Os to a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes receiving a write request comprising new data for overwriting corresponding old data in cache. The method performs an XOR (exclusive OR) operation on the new data and the old data to yield a parity delta and overwrites, in the cache, the old data with the new data. In certain embodiments, the XOR operation is performed prior to overwriting the old data with the new data. The method further stores the parity delta in the cache and links the parity delta to the new data. Upon destaging the new data from the cache, the method provides the parity delta with the new data so that the parity delta may be applied to an existing parity value in the RAID. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.
