A filtering medium for deodorizing filter having a laminated structure formed by sandwiching an adsorbing layer containing an adsorbent and an adhesive between base material layers, wherein at least one layer of the base material layers is a laminate sheet obtained by integrally laminating a nonwoven fabric made of thermal-bonding-based long fibers and a needle-punched electret nonwoven fabric by needle punching; and the adsorbing layer and the nonwoven fabric made of thermal-bonding-based long fibers of the laminate sheet are laminated so as to be adjacent to each other and thermally bonded to each other.

The compartment wall structure has a tube receiving opening and a vent opening. The apparatus contains a wettable filter medium for use with a respirator in order to filter tritium, the filter medium being wetted when in use. The apparatus is also mountable to a cartridge containing a separate HEPA or other filter that is typically maintained in a dry state. Thus, a single unit containing both wet and dry filter media is provided for mounting to a respirator so that tritium or tritium water vapor and particulate contaminants can be filtered at the same time.

    摘要: A self-closing filter includes a housing to be attached to a sidewall of a self-inflating pneumatic tire. The housing includes a cavity to be in fluid communication with an atmospheric air inlet of a pneumatic control valve for the self-inflating tire. The self-closing filter further includes a filtration media to block contaminants from entering the cavity while allowing atmospheric air to be drawn through the filtration media into the cavity by a pump of the self-inflating tire. The self-closing filter still further includes a valve attached to the housing. The valve is selectively actuatable to an open state and to a closed state. The filtration media is exposed to an atmosphere impinging upon the tire when the valve is in the open state. The closed state is to prevent exposure of the filtration media to the contaminants when the valve is in the closed state.
