摘要: Disclosed is a seamless central diameter expanded hollow molded articles made only of glasslike carbon. A fabrication method of the seamless carbonaceous hollow molded article having an expanded core includes: a cast-molding process, in which a liquid thermosetting resin is poured into a cavity formed between a core and an outer body made of a thermally fusible (or hot meltable) material, and a seamless thermosetting resin molded article having an expanded core is formed in hollow shape; a core flowing out process, in which the thermally fusible material of the cast molded core melts by heating and flows out; and a carbonization process, in which the thermosetting resin molded article is carbonized.

摘要: An apparatus for manufacturing a see-through type headrest comprising a doughnut-shaped surface material 11 having a see-through hole 16 passing through its center part and a foamed body integrated with the surface material 11 by injecting and expanding a foaming material inside the surface material 11. The apparatus 20 comprises an upper mold 21, a lower mold 22, and a core block 30 having an outline corresponding to the see-through hole 16 of the headrest. The core block 30 is detachable from the upper and lower molds 21, 22, and a space corresponding to an outline of the headrest is formed inside those molds 21, 22 when the core block 30 is positioned in the upper or lower mold 21, 22 and the upper and lower molds 21, 22 are then clamped. A skin-skeleton assembly 10 is set in the apparatus 20. A foaming material is injected into an inner space 12 of the surface material 11 through a nozzle inserted and attached to a mouth 15.

摘要: A centrifugally cast hollow fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) column having angled corners and straight sides. Interiorly of the column adjacent each corner are angled corner fillers that have straight angled sides adhered to straight interior wall surfaces of the column adjacent the respective corners. During molding, the corner fillers are supported within the mold with their straight sides in parallel spaced relation to the straight interior walls of the mold adjacent the respective mold corners a distance slightly greater than the desired minimum wall thickness of the column, whereby when the mold is rotated, uncured FRP material within the mold will flow by centrifugal force into engagement with the interior walls of the mold and around the corner fillers into the space between the corner fillers and interior walls of the mold adjacent the respective mold corners to form a column having a substantially uniform FRP wall thickness.

摘要: A guide block assembly and associated method are provided for retaining a plurality of fiber bore forming pins and at least one guide bore forming pin in precise relation to each other during molding of a multi-fiber ferrule used in a multi-fiber connector. The assembly comprises an array of fiber bore blocks each with a fiber bore therethrough to retain a respective one of the fiber bore forming pins. At least one guide block that defines a guide bore for retaining a guide bore forming pin is assembled with the array of fiber bore blocks. Adjoining surfaces are defined between adjacent fiber bore blocks and between the guide bore blocks and the array of fiber bore blocks. The use of bores more precisely retains the pins during the molding process, and the use of blocks with adjoining surfaces allows for the machining of such surfaces to precisely establish the relationships between successive fiber bore blocks and between the array of fiber bore blocks and the guide bore blocks.

摘要: A method of ferrules used in an optical connector for connection and short-circuit of making multichannel optical signals. Heretofore, many fiber receiving holes have been arranged along a line at regular intervals with tolerance amounting to less than 1 micron. 10 and connect two ferrules, a precisely processed cylindrical metal guide pin under 1 micron, precise pitches formed in ferrules and a metal pin guide hole are used, Consequently, it has been necessary to maintain a high degree of precision. The present invention maintains a high degree of precision by reverse direction connection dependent merely on a predetermined height a reference plane. The reference plane is formed by relatively easy plane processing as the method of maintaining precise height and directivity of flow is added to the inside of a mold.
