    摘要: A suspension for vehicles. The suspension includes a knuckle arm for supporting a steerable road wheel of the vehicle, an upper arm jointed at one end with the upper end of the knuckle arm and pivotably connected at the other end to a body frame of the vehicle, a lower arm jointed at one end with the lower end of the knuckle arm and pivotably connected at the other end to the body frame, and a shock absorber cooperating with the upper arm and the lower arm for suspending, through the knuckle arm, the steerable road wheel from the body frame. The upper arm has its position displaced longitudinally of the vehicle with a space left, and the shock absorber is disposed in the space obtained by the longitudinal displacement of the upper arm.

    摘要: An independent suspension of a steered wheel of a motor vehicle, with a wheel carrier which for purposes of guidance of the wheel during the spring- and steering-movements is connected with the vehicle body by way of two lower guide members pivotally connected to the wheel carrier one behind the other in the lower area thereof as well as by means of a spring-leg rigidly connected with the wheel carrier and articulated to the vehicle body by way of an upper joint or by way of an upper triangular guide member; to obtain a castor angle, the ideal steering axis of the wheel is slightly inclined with respect to the vertical, as viewed in side view of the vehicle, whereby this ideal steering axis is formed by the intersection of the planes defined respectively by the axes of the two lower guide members and the upper joint; the two lower joints in which the lower guide members engage at the wheel carrier are thereby arranged at different heights in such a manner that the connecting line of these two lower joints, as viewed in side view, is also inclined with respect to the vertical in the same sense as the ideal steering axis.

Furthermore, the system includes an actuator fixed relative to the body and configured to rotate a second end of the torsion bar about the second axis.

    摘要: A suspension apparatus is disclosed for which vehicle handling stability can be obtained. An upper arm (14), a damper unit (16), and a stabilizer (17) are connected in this order to a knuckle (13) from outside of the vehicle body in a width direction of the vehicle body. The reaction force of the stabilizer is used as a moment in the camber direction, and causes interference in the camber direction. As a result, a camber change during a reverse phase stroke is increased over a camber change during a same-phase stroke, and turning performance of the vehicle is improved.

    摘要: A transverse or oblique link is provided for a front vehicle axle. The link contains a first and a second link arm, the first link arm has a deformation section situated at a front in the direction of travel and a section situated behind it in the direction of travel. Furthermore, the first link arm is configured in such a manner that, in an accident, it is deformed in an energy-absorbing manner predominantly in its deformation section. In order to force a deformation in the deformation section, the flexural rigidity of the section about a bending axis running in the transverse direction of the vehicle is increased in comparison to the flexural rigidity of the deformation section. Upon contact with a curb, the two sections can be deformed in an energy-absorbing manner.

A spacer bracket has a semicircular portion engaging the shock absorber cylinder and opposed sleeve legs received between the bracket legs. A U-shaped knuckle bracket has a web and opposed flanges extending transversely from the web. The bracket legs and the sleeve legs are fixed to the web of the knuckle bracket. A steering knuckle connects to the knuckle bracket flanges. A wheel hub connects to the steering knuckle. A wheel connected to the wheel hub has a side-to-side tread face remaining in contact with a ground surface over a total travel distance of the strut assembly of up to 8.4 cm.
