The floor structure of the railcar includes a underframe having a pair of side sills extending in a railcar longitudinal direction and a cross beam arranged between the side sills and extending in a railcar width direction, a structural floor provided on an upper surface of the underframe, and a first heat insulating material arranged on a lower side of the structural floor via an air layer for the structural floor.

The undercar assembly has a structural member extending longitudinally between the longitudinal sides of the railroad car, where this structural member includes a pair of longitudinally extending beam elements transversely spaced apart from one another. At least one auxiliary equipment bay is defined between the longitudinally extending structural member and one of the longitudinal sides of the railroad car. The auxiliary equipment bay is capable to receive at least one auxiliary equipment, the structural member being operative to support at least in part the auxiliary equipment in the auxiliary equipment bay.

    摘要: A structure for damping impact by mechanical deformation. The structure has an elongate shape in an impact direction and has a substantially constant cross-section. The structure includes longitudinal plates that form a central chamber and two lateral chambers disposed on either side of the central chamber. The lateral chambers each have a continuous exterior transverse contour. The central chamber has at least one pair of oblique longitudinal plates that are inclined oppositely relative to a plane of symmetry of the structurem, parallel to the impact direction.

    摘要: A railroad car for carrying containers has a car body mounted on trucks. The car body includes two side sills connected to two end frames. The side sills and end frames define an open well which is adapted for receiving a container. The floor of the well is defined by a container support frame assembly which is hung from the side sills by four hanger straps. The container support frame assembly includes two transverse support beams. The hanger straps are pivotally connected by transverse pins to the side sills and the transverse support beams such that the hanger straps are stressed primarily in tension only and they transfer tensile loads but not bending loads to the side sills.
