    a shaft furnace having a preheating zone, a reaction zone, a separation zone and a cooling zone;
    a first feed apparatus for CO2 at the boundary of the separation zone to the reaction zone;
    a first removal apparatus at the boundary of the cooling zone to the separation zone;
    a second removal apparatus for CO2 at the start of the preheating zone; and
    at least one heating apparatus, wherein the heating apparatus has a regenerator system.




    The regenerator system has at least two regenerators, a preheater, a feed for fuel and a feed for fresh air;



    the second removal apparatus opens into the at least one heating apparatus; and
    the first feed apparatus is formed by the at least one heating apparatus for the shaft furnace.

    摘要: A system and method for calcination/carbonation cycle processing. The system comprises a calciner reactor for receiving partially carbonated mineral sorbent granules; a heat exchange structure for transferring heat through a wall of the calciner reactor to a granular flow of the sorbent granules for facilitating a calcination reaction of the sorbent granules to regenerate the sorbent granules; a gas extraction unit for removing gas products from the calciner, wherein the gas products comprise carbon dioxide from the calcination reaction; a carbonator reactor for receiving the regenerated sorbent granules from the calciner reactor and for receiving a cold flue gas, such that the regenerated sorbent granules are partially carbonised while the flue gas is scrubbed and the partially carbonated sorbent granules and the scrubbed flue gas exit the carbonator reactor as respective hot materials; and a riser unit for cycling the partially carbonated sorbent granules from the carbonator reactor to the calciner reactor.

    摘要: An improved process and apparatus for producing sintered material such as dead burned clay, dolomite, magnesite or periclase with the highest particle specific gravity capable from each material. A grinding mill produces raw material which is 100% minus 20 mesh. The ground raw material is supplied to a suspension type preheater and then to a stationary flash calcining system where the material is soft burned at temperatures in the range of 1000.degree. to 1200.degree. C. From the calcining system, the calcined material is immediately supplied to hot briquetting machine where briquettes or nodules are formed. The hot nodules at a temperature of approximately 800.degree. C. are then immediately supplied to a rotary kiln which serves as a sintering furnace where the soft burned material is dead burnt at a temperature in the range of 1650.degree. to 1850.degree. C. Hot spent combustion gas from the sintering furnace is supplied to the calcining furnace to serve as preheated secondary air for combustion. The spent hot gas from the calcining furnace is used in the suspension preheater to preheat the raw material.
