Abstract:
An air filter has a filter housing and a filter element inserted in the interior of the filter housing. The filter element has an inflow surface and an outflow surface and a filter medium that extends between inflow and outflow surfaces. The filter element has a circumferentially extending seal arranged in the area of the inflow surface or outflow surface and interacting in the mounting position with the sealing surface of the filter housing to separate inlet and outlet of the air filter. A support device clamps the filter element transversely to the insertion direction in the filter housing by a transverse clamping action in a support area that is spaced from the seal. The transverse clamping action results by an insertion movement of the filter element into the filter housing by interaction of the filter element with inner sides of the filter housing.
Abstract:
An air intake arrangement for an air intake system for an engine includes a first pre-cleaner arrangement having a housing with an air flow inlet to receive air to be pre-cleaned. A pre-cleaner region is constructed and arranged to remove at least some particulate from the inlet air. The first pre-cleaner arrangement further includes a vacuum flow path and a drop tube flow path. The vacuum flow path is in air flow communication with a first vacuum source to selectively put a vacuum draw through the pre-cleaner region. The drop tube flow path is in air flow communication with a drop tube to eject particulate removed from the inlet air by the pre-cleaner region.
Abstract:
A saddle type vehicle including a frame of a monocoque structure having an air cleaner wherein the sealing property can be secured. An air cleaner includes a filter element disposed in a hollow main frame to partition the main frame into a dirty side region and a clean side region. An intake path member connects an engine below the main frame to the clean side region. A communicating opening for communicating with the engine is formed on a lower face side of the clean side region. The communicating opening is covered with a lid member. The lid member includes a first plate member with a communicating hole in which the intake path member to the engine is inserted, a second plate member for surrounding an outer periphery of the first plate member, and an elastic member provided between the first plate member and the second plate member.
Abstract:
An air filter system, in particular for the intake air of internal combustion engines, is provided. It comprises a housing with a housing upper part and a round air filter element for filtering air, the housing comprising a clean air connection for discharging clean air from the housing and an annular sealing groove axially opened towards the interior area of the housing surrounding the clean air connection for the engagement of an annular sealing web axially extending away from the filter element, the sealing groove featuring a cylindrical contact area to which a sealing surface of the sealing web can be applied in particular radially sealingly, wherein the sealing groove features a cylindrical support area facing the contact area and the support area features at least one extension protruding from the support area in the direction of the sealing surface, wherein the sealing web features a second surface opposite to the sealing surface that features several annularly surrounding indentations in radial direction, wherein the at least one extension engages respectively one of the indentations.
Abstract:
A wheel loader is provided with a cab, a ladder, a vehicle body cover, an engine, an air cleaner, and an expansion member. The ladder has first to third steps. The air cleaner is disposed to the outside of the vehicle body cover and above and to the rear of the ladder. The expansion member is able to assume an expanded posture and a retracted posture. The expansion member abuts at least one step in the expanded posture.
Abstract:
An air cleaner system that potentially reduces debris entering a prime mover (e.g., engine) during removal/replacement of an air cleaner. In one embodiment, the engine includes a shroud defining an air cleaner compartment. The engine further includes a tubular air feed port defining a combustion air intake. The air feed port terminates at an end face located at or within the air cleaner compartment, and a lower portion of the end face is notched relative to other portions of the end face. In other embodiments, an engine oil drain system is provided that selectively positions a distal end of an oil drain tube at a drain position located away from the engine. The oil drain tube may also be repositioned to a stored position, wherein the distal end of the drain tube attaches to a nipple connected to either an engine housing or surrounding structure.
Abstract:
An air cleaner for a vehicle has an improved door locking structure that is not affected by the temperature of an engine compartment, and is configured to performing a door opening/closing operation and a filter replacing operation by simple manipulation. The air cleaner includes: a filter assembly; a case accommodating and providing access to the filter assembly; a door rotatably installed at the case that opens and closes the entrance of the case; an elastic member mounted between the door and the case to apply an elastic restoring force; and a locking unit installed that locks the door at a closed position and unlocks the door by one touch manipulation of pressing the door at the closed position.
Abstract:
A housing for a vehicle component includes a first case and a second case. The first case has an opening and a retainer hole at an edge of the opening. The second case has an opening and a protrusion at an edge of the opening. With the protrusion engaged with the retainer hole, the openings of the first case and the second case are selectively opened and closed by pivoting the second case with respect to the first case. The first case and the second case have separation portions. When the second case is pivoted in the opening direction, the separation portions engage with each other to move the first case and the second case relative to each other such that the protrusion is pulled out of the retainer hole.
Abstract:
A vehicular air cleaner may include: a body having an air inlet port; a cover coupled to a body and having an air outlet port; an element inserted into or drawn from the body and the cover through a access port formed in one side of the body and the cover; a positioning assembly rotatably coupled to a lower portion of the element and vertically moving the element by rotation; and an element cover coupled to the body and the cover to prevent the element from being separated from the access port, wherein the positioning assembly includes driving shafts each fitted with fixing brackets formed on a flange along a side direction of the element, and a driven shaft fitted with a fixing bracket formed on a flange along a front side of the element and having ends rotatably engaged with a pair of driving shafts.
