Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed for an air intake assembly comprising an airbox defining a plenum for enclosing an air filter, an intake tube attached to the air filter at a first end of the intake tube, the intake tube having a shoulder, and a multi-lipped gasket for detachably connecting the intake tube to the airbox, the multi-lipped gasket comprising a body portion defining a bore for sealingly engaging the intake tube, a lip adjacent the bore for engaging the shoulder of the intake tube, and a pair of distal lips for sealingly engaging the airbox, wherein the airbox, the air filter, and the intake tube are adapted so that air flows into the airbox, through the air filter, through the intake tube, and into a combustion engine (optionally reaching the combustion engine by first passing through a turbocharger and intercooler) of a vehicle.
Abstract:
A sealed intake air system incorporates a positive connection seal interface between the air filter and the airbox with captive fasteners to provide a positive connection between the air filter and the one-piece airbox.
Abstract:
A housing of an air cleaner includes a housing body, which has a wall portion formed of a plastic molding and is configured such that an opening is formed in a part of the wall portion, and an adsorption sheet, which is fixed to a peripheral portion of the opening and closes the opening. The adsorption sheet includes an outer fiber molding, an inner fiber molding, which is provided at a position inward of the outer fiber molding, and an adsorbent, which is located between the outer fiber molding and the inner fiber molding and adsorbs fuel vapor of the internal combustion engine.
Abstract:
An air cleaner arrangement or assembly is provided. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. The air cleaner assembly also includes an arrangement for positioning the filter cartridge into a preferred, sealing, orientation and for securing the filter cartridge in that location. Preferred serviceable filter cartridges are provided, as well as methods of assembly and use.
Abstract:
An air intake system for a work vehicle may generally include an intake duct defining a passageway for directing air in a flow direction through the system. The duct may also include a pre-cleaner slot defined between inner and outer surfaces of the duct and a support ledge extending circumferentially around at least a portion of an inner perimeter of the duct. The system may also include a pre-cleaner configured to be installed within the intake duct by inserting the pre-cleaner through the pre-cleaner slot in a direction extending generally perpendicular to the flow direction. In addition, the air intake system may include a cover configured to be coupled to the intake duct such that the cover extends over the pre-cleaner slot when the pre-cleaner is installed within the intake duct.
Abstract:
An air filter device is provided with a filter housing and a filter element arranged in the filter housing. A frame part is connected to the filter element and frames the filter element at least over sections thereof circumferentially. The frame part is provided with an air duct receptacle that is adapted to receive an air duct. The frame part is arranged at least partially on an exterior side of the filter housing. The filter element is fastened by the frame part on the filter housing.
Abstract:
An air filter element (10) with a cylindrical central pipe (11) is provided wherein at one end of the central tube (11) a device (18) for transmission of torque from a tool to the air filter element (10) is provided and at the other end of the central tube (11) a fastening device (14) for detachably mounting the filter element (10) within a cylindrical support body (21) by means of an insertion/rotation movement is provided.
Abstract:
A filter element has a filter body having a longitudinal axis, wherein the filter body has a first end with a first end face and a second end with a second end face opposite the first end in direction of the longitudinal axis. The filter body is provided with inner and outer circumferential surfaces permeable for a medium to be filtered. A first end disk is arranged at the first end face and a second end disk is arranged at the second end face. The outer circumferential surface of the filter body has at least one fluid-tight area that is impermeable for the medium to be filtered. The fluid-tight area is an incoming flow protector or an improper handling protector resting on the outer circumferential surface.
Abstract:
An air cleaner assembly and a filter element reduce wall noise by rigidly coupling the movement of opposing air cleaner housing sidewalls through the installed filter element. The sidewalls are rigidly coupled through the filter element with the sidewalls coupled to move together in unison such that wall deflection forces created by the pressure pulsations tend to cancel each resulting in improved dynamic stiffening of the air cleaner walls and reduced wall noise.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an air cleaner for a vehicle. The air cleaner for a vehicle according to the exemplary embodiment includes: a body portion which has an air inlet formed at one side of the body portion so as to suck air; a cover portion which is coupled to an upper portion of the body portion and has an air outlet formed at one side of the cover portion; an element which is inserted into or withdrawn from the interior of the body portion and the cover portion through a receiving opening that is formed at one side of the body portion and the cover portion; a height adjustment handle which is rotatably coupled to a lower portion of the element and allows the element to be raised upward and lowered downward by a rotation of the height adjustment handle; and an element cover which is coupled to one side of the cover portion so as to prevent the element from being moved away from the receiving opening, and has a locking member which is provided at one surface of the element cover and has elastic force.
