摘要: An electrical outlet device includes water-resistant components to prevent the ingress of water to electrical components. One example includes a faceplate having a front surface, an outer edge extending around the front surface, and a first outlet opening extending through the front surface. A water-resistant seal is connected to the front surface of the faceplate. The seal has a first slit aligned with the first opening, a first flap adjacent the slit, and a second flap adjacent the slit. The first flap and the second flap are resiliently biased to a closed position and are moveable upon insertion of a plug.

The grommet includes peripheral walls that surrounds the wire harness W to form a sound shield space S around the wire harness W, and a soundproof wall that is formed in the sound shield space S so as to cross a longitudinal direction of the wire harness W. The soundproof wall is designed by use of an expression of TL=20 log(p×f)−42.5 where TL designates transmission loss of the soundproof wall, ρ designates surface density of the soundproof wall, and f designates a frequency.

摘要: An electrical box cover for an electrical outlet box includes a back and four sides extending from the back. The back and the four sides define an interior of the box cover that is large enough to cover the exterior of the electrical outlet box. The box cover is made of a soft, flexible material that can be molded to a shape of the electrical outlet box and that has certain elastomeric qualities so that the box cover can be slipped on to the electrical outlet box and installed, thereby providing additional sound and fire protection to the electrical outlet box. The cover box may also include a flange surrounding the opening in the box cover to cover any gaps around the cutout of the wall. The box cover may include one or more knock-outs that correspond to one or more knock-outs in the electrical outlet box.

摘要: An electrical junction box with a waterproof property where a box body and a lower cover are fitted to each other is provided. An electrical junction box includes a box body having a peripheral wall formed in a frame shape and a lower cover with which a lower opening portion of the box body is covered. A lower end portion of the peripheral wall is provided with a double wall portion in which an inner wall and an outer wall extending in a peripheral direction are arranged with a clearance therebetween. An insertion wall portion provided on a tip end portion of a peripheral wall of the lower cover is inserted between the inner wall and the outer wall. In such an electrical junction box, a flange portion that projects toward the outer wall is provided on a projecting end portion of the insertion wall portion of the lower cover.

摘要: Junction boxes for enclosing and making electrical connections to LED drivers are disclosed. The junction boxes include a bottom or base and a cover. Dividers arising from the base divide the junction box into high-voltage and low-voltage compartments. A cut-out open at the top of each divider allows a driver to be placed in a junction box without having to pull wires through holes or openings. Typically, the base is open along the top and along at least a portion of one sidewall, with the cover being L- or U-shaped to complete the enclosure. Various mounting mechanisms are disclosed for securing drivers within junction boxes. Embodiments that can house several drivers or components within one junction box are disclosed, as are weather- and water-resistant embodiments.

摘要: A guide device (10) is provided for guiding a wiring harness (32) through an aperture (26) in a panel (24). The guide device (10) has a substantially tubular sidewall (12) with opposite front and rear ends (14, 16). Portions of the sidewall (12) adjacent the front end (14) are dimensioned to fit in the aperture (26). The sidewall (12) flares out toward the rear end (16). A slit (22) extends from the front end (14) of the sidewall (12) to the rear and (16) thereof. The front end (14) of the guide device (10) can be mounted in the aperture (26) so that the wiring harness (32) can be guided into the outwardly flared rear end (16) and through the aperture (26). The slit (22) enables the sidewall (12) to be biased open at the slit so that the guide device (10) can be separated from the wiring harness (32).
