According to one aspect, a wideband polyphase filter filters an input signal that has an associated first frequency. The wideband polyphase filter has poles corresponding to a first filter frequency and a second filter frequency, where the two filter frequencies are different. According to another aspect, a mixer mixes the filtered signal with a local-oscillator signal at a second frequency to produce an upconverted signal, where the second frequency is substantially an integer multiple of the first frequency.

An apparatus may comprise a fixed device for a mobile broadband communications system utilizing an orthogonal frequency-division multiple access technique, the fixed device having a precoding module operative to generate a precoding matrix using a received first codeword of a first base codebook, subsequently reconstruct the precoding matrix using a received polar-cap codeword of a polar-cap codebook, and periodically reset the precoding matrix to clear accumulated error at the fixed device using a received second codeword of a second base codebook. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    摘要: Systems and method for minimum power leakage windowing for VDSL using least squares technique are provided. A coefficient vector is defined for the first N samples. The window is then defined in terms of this coefficient vector. The leakage power of the Kth tone is defined in terms of the window. A least squares minimization is performed on the leakage power to determine the optimal value of x. The window is implemented using this value of x, thereby reducing the power leakage in the out-of-band and RFI band regions in the frequency domain.

    摘要: A signal transmission apparatus of the invention comprises: a correlator 12 for shaping a spectrum of a signal; and a precoder 12 disposed on a previous stage of the correlator and including an adder which subtracts an output signal of a feedback filter from an input signal, a modulo arithmetic unit which inputs an output signal of the adder and executes modulo arithmetic operation, and the feedback filter which inputs an output signal of the modulo arithmetic unit and is provided with a transfer function obtained by subtracting 1 from a transfer function of the correlator. The correlator may be IIR filter means having a desired notch characteristic. By disposing a correlator which can freely shape a transmission signal spectrum containing a deep notch and suppress only a specified band on a receiving side, the suppression of an external noise can also be realized.

    摘要: An improved data recovery circuit based on an oversampling technique to select the best data sample to be kept as the data to recover that is only based on accumulating the data edges (or transitions). The incoming serial data stream with jitter is oversampled in an oversampling circuit by means of the multiple phases of a reference clock (clk) to produce data samples. Each sample is compared to the sample(s) collected with the next clock phase(s) in an edge detector circuit to determine the presence of a data edge and the edge information is stored and accumulated in a data edge memory. A selection determination circuit uses the memorized edge information to indicate which sample is the farthest from the data edges. A selection validation circuit validates the selection to avoid false determination due to jitter and skew.
