Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus configures a radio frame with a subframe configuration based on a restriction, the radio frame being part of a sequence of a plurality of radio frames. The restriction excludes the radio frame from conforming to a set of subframe configurations based on at least one of a position of the radio frame within the sequence of radio frames or a type of information to be transmitted or received in the radio frame. The apparatus then communicates with a user equipment (UE) during the radio frame based on the subframe configuration.

Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used for network management via MAC measurements. The measurements may include WTRU uplink traffic loading measurement, and an AP service loading measurement. The measurements may be applicable to at least to layers 1 and 2 as applied to, for example, 802.11k in the context of OFDM and CDMA 2000 systems, but may be applicable to other scenarios as well. A method for determining and transmitting congestion information may be provided for a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) system. The method and apparatus may be used for managing congestion when congestion is detected. The method and apparatus may be used in wireless systems that use a Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) mechanism. The methods may be implemented in wireless transmit/receive units (WTRU)s and access points (AP)s of various forms.

Abstract: An apparatus for communicating over a circuit switched network and a packetized data network. The apparatus includes a packetized data modem, a circuit switched modem, and a hybrid processor. The packetized data modem is configured to communicate with the packetized data network over a packetized data radio link via a radio. The circuit switched modem is configured to communicate with the circuit switched network over a circuit switched radio link via the radio. The hybrid processor is configured to monitor a circuit switched sleep cycle and a packetized data sleep cycle, and is configured to direct the packetized data modem and the circuit switched modem to switch between the networks according to the sleep cycles by prioritizing communications with the circuit switched network above communications with the packetized data network.
