    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating user data in a small data transfer (SDT) in a non-terrestrial network (NTN) while a user equipment (UE) is in an idle or inactive mode. A method that may be performed the UE includes transmitting, to a non-terrestrial base station (NTBS) in an NTN, an SDT indication message including a first indication that the UE has user data to transmit in an SDT while the UE is in an idle or inactive mode, receiving, from the NTBS in response to the SDT indication message, a resource indication message including an indication of a set of resources for transmitting user data in the SDT, and transmitting the user data in the SDT to the NTBS while the UE is in the idle or inactive mode via the set of resources indicated in the resource indication message.

    摘要: User equipment, and an apparatus and method used in user equipment are perform a predetermined data transmission in which the user equipment transmits uplink user data when the user equipment is in an RRC inactive state. The user equipment, apparatus and method transmit a random access preamble for the predetermined data transmission to a base station during a random access procedure, and transmit an MSG 3 message together with uplink user data to the base station during the random access procedure. A base station performs a predetermined data transmission in which a user equipment transmits uplink user data when the user equipment is in an RRC inactive state, includes a receiver receiving a random access preamble for the predetermined data transmission during a random access procedure from the user equipment, and receives an MSG 3 message together with uplink user data from the user equipment during the random access procedure.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The method includes identifying whether a medium access control (MAC) entity of the terminal is configured with a logical channel (LCH)-based prioritization, identifying whether a first uplink grant is associated with a random access, determining the first uplink grant to be a prioritized uplink grant, and transmitting an uplink signal based on the prioritized uplink grant.
