摘要: A heat exchanger has a laminar fluid flow path receivable between the heating plates of a high flow rate infusion unit to which heat is conducted by contact with the heating plates. A bubble trap and a valve are integrated with the heat exchanger. The bubble trap collects air from the infusate exiting the laminar flow path, and includes an air vent in contact with the infusate that vents the air from the bubble trap. The valve shuts off the flow of infusate if air is detected in the bubble trap.

摘要: According to the hot water supply apparatus of the present invention, it becomes possible to effectively prevent the dew condensation on a bypass line. While exhaust gas after passage through a heat exchanger 2 is passing through an exhaust gas collection section 14 and then through an exhaust gas tube 15, combustion air in the inside of an inlet air tube 16 and a supply air collection section 17 is heated by heat exchange. A bypass line 19 which connects together a water supply line 3 and a hot water supply line 5 is disposed so as to pass through a clearance 20 defined between a supply air duct 18 which supplies heated combustion air to an air sending fan 6 and a burner casing 10 whereby the bypass line 19 is heated by the heat of combustion air in the inside of the supply air duct 18. Alternatively, the bypass line 19 may be disposed and placed so as to pass through the inside of the supply air duct 18.

摘要: A valve assembly is provided having two valve sections, each having a tubular passageway portion and when joined together, defining a ball cavity in communication with the tubular passageways. One of the body sections is provided with an inlet/outlet in communication with the ball cavity as well as a spindle flange. An elongate spindle extends through the spindle flange projecting into the ball cavity region to rotate a spherical ball element between an open and a bypass position. The ball valve has a primary elongate passage which interconnects the two tubular passage portions in the valve body sections when the ball valve is in the open position. When the ball valve is rotated to the bypass position, the tubular passage portion of one of the ball body sections is sealed closed while the other tubular passage portion communicates with an internal bypass port within the ball valve which in turn, communicates with the auxiliary inlet/outlet. The preferred embodiment includes a pair of valve assemblies for use with a tankless hot water heater system.

摘要: A fluid heating system with a heat exchanger includes an elongated cylindrical tube with an inlet end and an opposed end. An array of film resistive elements is positioned on the outer surface of the cylindrical tube and extends circumferentially at least partially around the outer surface. A spiral channel guide is coaxially positioned within the cylindrical tube so as to force fluid flowing in the tube into a spiral path at least partially against an inner surface of the cylindrical tube. The spiral channel guide directs fluid flowing in the cylindrical tube so as to cause turbulence to occur in the flow and increase thermal transfer from the inner surface of the cylindrical tube to the fluid flowing in the tube.

摘要: A fluid isolation valve having a valve body with a first fluid flow port, a second fluid flow port and a fluid drain port with a valve in the fluid drain port. The valve body also defines a fluid flow channel, a drain flow channel and a valve portion, wherein the valve portion is disposed in the valve body to be communicated with the first fluid flow port, the second fluid flow port and the fluid drain port. A flow diversion device is also provided and is disposed within the valve portion. The flow diversion device is configurable between a first configuration and a second configuration, such that when the flow diversion device is in the first configuration the first fluid flow port is communicated with the second fluid flow port. Consequently, when the flow diversion device is in the second configuration the first fluid flow port is communicated with the fluid drain port. The fluid flow can be decrease or stop by use of the valve within the fluid drain port.

摘要: A method of heating a building in which a boiler provides hot water for circulating through radiators in the building and a condensing heat exchanger recovers heat from the boiler flue gases. Air entering the building is heated by an additional heat exchanger through which water flows which has been heated by the condensing heat exchanger. Cold air supplied to the combustion chamber is also employed to cool the flue gases. The condensing heat exchanger comprises a first exchanger in which the hot flue gases are cooled to a temperature above the dew point and a second in which the previously cooled flue gases are cooled to below the dew point. The second exchanger includes a primary water circuit which cools water in a secondary circuit, in which water is in contact with the flue gases and the secondary circuit water passes through a heat exchanger in an air inlet to the building. Some of the water returning from the radiators is cooled before supply to the primary circuit. A building and heating system comprises a boiler which provides a source of hot water, a pump for circulating the hot water through radiators in the building, a condensing heat exchanger which recovers heat from the boiler flue gases, and in which water which has been heated in the condensing heat exchanger is employed to heat air entering the building.

A seal member and a metal plate are fixed to one surface of the thermal body. A high thermally conductive pad is disposed between a printed circuit board carrying a control with heat generating switch elements. The pad conducts heat generated by control switching elements to the plate to reduce the temperature differential between the plate and the thermally conductive body to balance the temperature of the heater apparatus.

Fluid in a flow path in the thermal body enveloping the heat source absorbs heat from the body. A fluid expansion member is fixed to the mass over the open ends of the fluid flow path in the thermal body. The fluid expansion member is formed of a compressible foam material having shape memory. The fluid expansion member is sealingly joinable by fasteners to the thermal body through bores formed in the peripheral edge of the member.
