    摘要: Techniques for dynamically throttling network traffic may be provided. For example, a first threshold specific to a first client may be determined and may be dynamically adjusted over time. A volume of network traffic of the first client may be compared to the first threshold and, if is in excess, a throttling operation may be performed. The throttling operation may include throttling the network traffic of the first client, throttling the traffic of a second client, or comparing the volume of network traffic to a second threshold. If the second threshold is exceeded, a connection with the first client or the second client may be terminated.

The network device is configured to: receive an insensitive service packet; obtain a current slicing length according to a modulation mode of a communication link; perform slicing processing once on the insensitive service packet according to the current slicing length to obtain one slice, and send the slice through the communication link, If the current slicing length is smaller than a length of the insensitive service packet, for the remaining part of the insensitive service packet which has undergone the slicing processing once, the network device repeats the obtaining of the current slicing length, the slicing processing, and the sending the slice, until the insensitive service packet is completely sent.

The method can include the wireless communication device establishing a first codec rate for use in the VoIP call during a call establishment phase; using the first codec rate to encode voice data for transmission during a first portion of the VoIP call; determining a channel quality while using the first codec rate; determining that the channel quality satisfies a threshold for requesting a codec rate change; requesting a codec rate change from the first codec rate to a second codec rate in response to the channel quality satisfying the threshold; and using the second codec rate to encode voice data for transmission during a second portion of the VoIP call.
