摘要: The method for a skin treatment using a first snail on a human patient includes placing the first snail on a first surface to allow the first snail to attach itself to the first surface. The method further includes projecting a first predetermined amount of a first agent onto the first snail with to cause the first snail to secrete a liquid on the first surface. The method further includes administering the secreted liquid over a surface of a skin of a portion of a body of the human patient.

摘要: Embodiments of a reduced pressure system and methods for operating the system are disclosed. In some embodiments, the system can include one or more processors responsible for various functions associated with various levels of responsiveness, such as interfacing with a user, controlling a vacuum pump, providing network connectivity, etc. The system can present GUI screens for controlling and monitoring its operation. The system can determine and monitor flow of fluid in the system by utilizing one or more of the following: monitoring the speed of a pump motor, monitoring flow of fluid in a portion of a fluid flow path by using a calibrated fluid flow restrictor, and monitoring one or more characteristics of the pressure pulses. The system can provide external connectivity for accomplishing various activities, such as location tracking of the system, compliance monitoring, tracking of operational data, remote selection and adjustment of therapy settings, etc.

摘要: A two-part bioactive agent delivery system includes a disposable part, a reusable part, and a solvent removal element. The disposable part includes an agent reservoir, a transdermal patch communicating with the agent reservoir and adapted to transdermally deliver the bioactive agent to a user. The transdermal patch has a bottom surface adapted to contact skin of the user, a top surface opposite the bottom surface, and a gas permeable membrane disposed over the top surface of the transdermal patch. The reusable part includes a power source and control electronics that are adapted to deliver bioactive agent dissolved in a solvent from the agent reservoir to the transdermal patch. The solvent removal element includes a gap disposed between the disposable part and the reusable part to create a flow path for gaseous solvent to flow from the gas permeable membrane to ambient air around the bioactive agent delivery system.

摘要: An improved wound honey using a combination of buckwheat honey, honeydew honey, a natural thickening agent of blackstrap molasses and tangerine puree, and fragrance comprising lavender essential oil. The wound honey is sterilized using a flowing UV light sanitizing system. The bottles are disinfected using a combination parecetic acid, formic acid, vanillin, clove essential oil, monolaurin, aloe vera, and hydrogen peroxide disinfectant. The product comes in a container with a pump dispenser that dispenses a quantifiable amount of product. This new wound honey with pump dispenser may be used multiple times, is cheaper than manuka honey, and may be produced outside of New Zealand and Australia.

摘要: An active molecule delivery system whereby active molecules can be released on demand and/or a variety of different active molecules can be delivered from the same system and/or different concentrations of active molecules can be delivered from the same system. The invention is well-suited for delivering pharmaceuticals to patients transdermally. In some embodiments, the system includes two separate reservoirs and a mixing area thereby allowing precursors to be mixed immediately before transdermal delivery.

摘要: A treatment application garment, such as a glove or a sock, is disclosed. The garment allows for various treatments directed toward the fingers and toes, such as the fingernails and toenails. For example, each digit of the garment may contain an absorbent pad containing acetone. The hand or foot is inserted into the garment such that the nail is positioned below the absorbent pad containing the acetone, allowing the acetone to be constantly applied to the nail to remove polish therefrom. After the treatment is complete, the glove may be removed and the open end thereof tied off, thereby containing the acetone and the smell thereof within the glove. Other features and treatments are also disclosed.

摘要: A shape compliant wearable Photo-Dynamic Therapy (PDT) pad comprises an outer layer having an outer surface adapted to be exposed to the ambient, an inner layer having an inner surface adapted to be in contact with a body of a user, a metallic sheet provided between the outer layer and the inner layer, the metallic sheet being shape compliant, and a plurality of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) provided between the inner layer and the outer layer. The plurality of LEDs is configured to emit electromagnetic radiation towards the body of the user. Also, the inner layer and the metallic sheet include an enclosed cavity therebetween, the metallic sheet is configured to be maintained at a negative potential, and the inner layer includes a plurality of air holes providing a passage for ambient air to enter and exit the enclosed cavity.
