    摘要: An LMS adaptive control loop module for reducing the effects of received interference includes a single antenna coupled to a first hybrid for generating a reference channel and an auxiliary channel. The auxiliary channel provides I/Q signals from a second hybrid and I/Q drive signals from I/Q correlation multipliers which are used to weight the I/Q signals from said second hybrid. The weighted signals and the reference channel signals are combined and provide an output.

    摘要: A system for determining a direction for an electromagnetic signal. The system includes a receiving array antenna, including a plurality of antenna elements, each antenna element having a position in the receiving array antenna; a digitizer configured to receive an analog signal from each of the antenna elements, and to sample and digitize each of the analog signals to form a sequence of digitized samples from each of the analog signals; and a processing unit. The processing unit is configured to receive the sequences of sample values from the digitizer; and, for each direction of a plurality of hypothesized directions: combine the sample values from the plurality of antenna elements to form a single time record; fit the single time record with a combination of one or more functions of time; and identify a direction at which a measure of the magnitude of the linear combination is greatest.

The 3 output feed network employs either a broadband 90 degree hybrid coupler with a 180 degrees splitter, or 2 broadband 90 degree hybrid couplers. The arrays employ dipole antenna elements, patch antenna elements, or a combination of both types. The antenna may exhibit 35 to 40 degrees horizontal beamwidth.

    摘要: An RFID tag reading system and method estimate true bearings of RFID tags associated with items located in a scan zone directly underneath an overhead array of antenna elements. A controller energizes a plurality of diametrically opposite antenna elements to yield electric fields having polarizations, and switches each antenna element between mutually orthogonal polarizations. A primary transmit beam and a primary receive beam are steered at a primary steering angle over the scan zone, and a plurality of secondary receive beams are steered over the scan zone at different secondary steering angles that are offset from the primary steering angle by receiving secondary receive signals from each tag, and by processing the secondary receive signals to estimate a true bearing for each tag.
