Abstract: A rotary damper has a casing having a fluid chamber filled with a fluid, a rotatable member disposed in the fluid chamber for rotation relative to the casing, a vane disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the rotatable member and extending in an axial direction thereof, the vane projecting toward an inner circumferential surface of the fluid chamber and having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side, a fluid passage for allowing the fluid to flow between the first side and the second side at or near a tip end of the vane, and a valve body mounted on the vane for selectively opening and closing the fluid passage. The valve body comprises a valve disposed in a position for closing the fluid passage and a spring for normally urging the valve in a direction to close the fluid passage. The valve and the spring are integrally formed. When the rotatable member rotates in a first direction, the valve opens the fluid passage against the urge of the spring under the pressure of the fluid on the first side of the vane. When the rotatable member stops against rotation, the valve instantaneously closes the fluid passage under the urge of the spring. When the rotatable member rotates in a second direction, the valve keeps closing the fluid passage under the urge of the spring and the pressure of the fluid on the second side of the vane.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a door opening/closing device installed in a door of a building to be opened/closed about a hinge fixed at one side of the door. The opening/closing device controls the door to be manually opened and closed with an automatic returning device. When the door is opened by a rotating power adjusting device of the door, an oil pusher-plate in a rotary member pushes oil in an oil reservoir so that rotation speed of oil is adjusted by the pressure of oil passing through an oil passage hole, the end of the oil pusher plate and the inside wall of the oil reservoir. The door is opened in a joggling manner but slowly closed as rotating speed of the door gradually decreases, thereby solving problems such as injury occurring at the time of closing the door. A door fixing unit securely fixes the door when the door is closed or opened so as to prevent a gap between the door and a door frame when the door is closed and securely fix the door without movement when the door is opened.

Abstract: The invention concerns a spring barrel module having two chambers. A spring is located in the first chamber and a damper in the second chamber. The unidirectional damper is implemented by a clutch means that connects the damper plate to the spring shaft when the tightened spring is released, whereby the rotation of the damper slows down. Correspondingly, the clutch loosens the connection between the damper plate and the spring shaft when the spring is tightened. The control mechanism comprises a coiled torsion spring around the shaft with a free end of the spring lying along part of a strap.
